The people in the store were very friendly, but I hate the convoluted pricing policy. Some products will automatically receive a discount at the cash register if the price online is cheaper. The problem is the discount includes shipping with the online prices. I ended spending $10 dollars more on a product just because I bought it in the store rather than online (I usually spend enough to get free shipping). Also, the employees cant tell you what products received the discount since it is shown as a grand total at the end. Every other store I go to that offers a price match guarantee give you the exact price they show on their website, so I cant help but feel that Ive been scammed a little bit. I was also surprised at how high some prices were really jacked up. The main product I came for was about $20 more expensive there vs. online. I definitely wont be going back there unless I want to look at something in person.

I LOVE this store. Definitely for the person who knows what they are looking for---they do not stock a lot of crafts, gifts, etc. They do have professional quality art supplies for what I see as low prices. Are they cheap compared to Wal-mart? No. But the quality of the products is head and shoulders above anything you can get at a one stop superstore. Compared with other art supply stores the prices are equal or lower than what I have seen elsewhere. Also, the staff is cool at this store. For those who were treated rudely, you were not asking about, say, scrapbooking embellishments or a good gift for an eight year old, were you? I saw a guy haggling over the price of packaged canvases one day--he wanted to take one out and buy 49 instead of 50. I was just another customer and I was ready to spit bile at this guy. The staff was extremely nice about it, though.

The staff are incredible -- always helpful, always courteous -- and the stock is an artists heaven, everything you could possibly want. The actual store itself, in total, is beyond compare for assistance, service and stock. However, the location is horrendous, hard to get into, even more difficult to get out of, and the place is infested with hipsters and middle age women who think theyre artists and dress like an Alzheimers patient dressed them so they can beat you over the head with the idea theyre Bohemian artists. A great store -- just find the least popular times.

The staff at this location are very knowledgable, helpful, and kind. Theres a good feeling when you walk in. The framers are also very helpful. I usually just order custom-cut glass. They are speedy! If my package is heavy, they bring it to my car for me. When I need more sheets of paper than they have in stock, they offer to order it for me. Their prices are always good. The store also organized in a way that makes sense. Products are easy to find, and if I cant find what I need, an employee is always available to help me find it.

Considering the deceptive coupon policy and poor selection, I will definitely NEVER return to Blick. After dealing with a condescending sales clerk, I advise everyone to be careful if you are considering making purchase at this store. This is perhaps my worst customer service experience ever, right behind being followed around a boutique in France for being an American. I dont appreciate being tricked into paying more for products that I can get for a MUCH BETTER price off Amazon, Joann, or Michaels.

Im working with jewelry design and construction and there isnt anything to do with that. They have items for every kind of other art, more traditional art, like painting, drawing and sculpting. They are very nice and knowledgeable and they even have a great framing department. The store is good for kids also, as in most art stores, they frown on parents coming in with kids, but here they will even strike up conversations with them.

Visited three times in three days. The staff remembered us. Ask for the web pricing! Clean store, lots of art supplies and funny gifts. Biggest Copic marker stand weve ever seen! So many choices and colors. Would live there.

I love Dick Blick a lot and the prices are very good, but I still prefer the variety at Artmart. Dick Blick is a lot more bare bones (like a small warehouse) whereas Artmart gas a very creative feel. Both are great though!

While this location is larger than Dick Blicks previous place in Clayton, it isnt as large as some of their stores in other cities. Parking is horrendous! Dont visit on the weekend. Great store if you can park.
