This one star review is strictly for the grooming department. I love going to PetSmart and so do both my pups. Their employees are always nice and helpful and their trainer is AMAZING! however they need to work on the customer service with their grooming department. I went in there on 6/9/16 at 6:35pm to have my puppies nails trimmed before his puppy class at 7pm. The lady said yeah that was now problem it will only take 5 mins and she started to put our information in the system and then the phone rang... of course she answered it, to be expected, however 20 mins i was still waiting for her to get off the phone. A gentleman came in after me and waited too. Finally he gave up, wished us luck and left. Finally we gave up and went to puppy class. When i informed the manager of the horrible customer service she was sorry and I told me I could do the nail trim after class. Yes, that was true however I purposely got there early to do the nail trim before class and was told it would not be a problem until the phone rang and she couldnt put the person on HOLD... Ive worked retail and customer service positions.... Ive always been told the person standing in front of you get gets helped first, after all I took the time to come to establishment. I was just VERY disappointed in the lack of customer service. Again I love petsmart and banfield however the grooming department there needs some work.

My review is based solely on my experiences when I have been browsing the store. My boyfriend and I like to visit the store because were animal lovers and love to give the cats scratches and love. We also love to look at the reptiles and fish. We even adopted our sweet male cat from the store 4 years ago. Granted we dont often buy items from the store, I dont see a problem with visiting the cats and giving them some attention. The last few times weve visited the employees have been incredibly rude. Carol, the cat lady whom we delt with when we adopted our cat, does nothing but complain to customers and despite us frequenting the store she asks us if we are 18 (were both 24) and calls us kids every time when all we are doing is looking at the cats. She acts condescending and rude like we have no business being there. Today we were approached while peeking at the crickets in the fish department (yes, we love crickets too) and asked very forcefully if we needed anything, as if to say we should move on if we didnt. I understand the employees caution about perspective pet owners and wanting only the best for the animals but not everyone is a neglectful pet owner and customer should be treated better.

Was told that I couldnt buy a mouse to feed to my Royal Python because "feeding live animals to a snake can harm the snake if it isnt used to feeding live." This is hilarious coming from an establishment that is selling a snake that is practically a bone. I have 5 snakes all are healthy and all have been fed live. I could understand if a 12 year-old walked in and asked for a live mouse to feed to a snake but a denying an adult the purchase of a mouse on the premise that he/she doesnt know or understand enough about their own animal is ignorant and absurd. Petsmart has out-dated training for staff in the field of herpetology. They will tell you things that are almost completely untrue. Disregarding the misunderstanding with the reptile department the store still functions as a pet retail store that does much to be mentioned for dogs and cats in the community. If you are looking for simple things for a dog or cat this is the place to go but dont listen to anything they have to say about reptiles.

I have been shopping at Petsmart for over 10 years. I have never had an unpleasant experience. I have a Petsmart Perk Card. It saves me money. I have lived in several states and travel. Each Petsmart I have visited is well organized. The personnel are friendly and courteous. I have not only made purchases, I have bordered my dogs at an out-of-state Petsmart. I have used their Vet services and also their grooming services. I have been extremely pleased with all their services. I have fish, dogs and cats. The only service they might fall just short of excellence on is in the fish area. However, when I first started my aquarium, the personnel was readily available with answers to questions. Though I had to do further research, they were able to point me in the right direction.

The people who work there are nice,but their establishment is a little gross. There is a huge pothole in the parking lot that I have complained about for years and they havent done anything to fix it. Its like a foot deep. The outside around it is covered with cigarette butts, there is dog poop everywhere in the grass and almost always on the sidewalk, and the grass has so much trash. I never take my pet to petsmart to walk around for these very reasons.

This review is being written by my 11 year old daughter who loves her shih tzu, T-Bone! They are the worst people ever. I would rather go to an off brand pet place than go to this pathetic excuse for one . Then on top of that, the groomer place tried to murder my bog...they cut his neck! They like to say that he jumped but we have been taking him there for years and nothing like this has ever happened . Every single last one of you make me sick!

Treated rude when trying to buy fish. I have had numerous tanls in my life and have two now. Set up my childs tank let it cycle 5 days went to purchase three fish. Long story short she needed water sample and wouldnt sell us fish with out it. We left went to wal mart and my daughters fish are fine 3 days later. RUDE

Normal PetSmart. Come here often for fish supplies and such. The staff is friendly. When they run out of the supplies/fish youre looking for, I found that they normally know when they will be restocking it, so you can just come back when they know theyll have it in.

PetSmart is great very friendly good prices just all-around good place to shop two thumbs up I recommend PetSmart to anybody that own a pet or looking forward to owning a pet the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful they definitely got five stores coming from me

This is my pets fav store. She gets spoiled royally here. The Pet Hospital is a Godsend, she loves both of her doctors & they love her. Prices for the most part are very reasonable. I wish they carried some of the higher end dog foods such as Canidae etc..

I came by a couple of times to try something other than Petco. I was surprised by their amount of pet supplies, yet disappointed due to their lack of help. The prices are high and the staff isnt very helpful. But they have every item you dont really need.

We use Banfield to keep our pets healthy and the grooming salon to bath our big dog. Both services help us tremendously, and the pets are always treated very well. Its hard not to be happy in a place where you can meet all kinds of doggies!
