I bought my bike here in 2012 (4 years ago) and because unlimited free tune-ups came with the purchase, I kept coming back. The guys who work here are really friendly, so I desperately want to like this place. But every experience Ive had with them since my purchase, has been terrible. Every time Ive asked for my gear-shifter to be adjusted, I leave with it just as bad as before. Whatever I ask them to do takes forever. It took 14 days for them to replace the rear brake. That was half a month of me walking miles to work every day without my bike, only to call Springfield Bicycle Company seven days in and find out that they hadnt even looked at it yet. What really takes the cake, is they didnt even fix the problem I brought the bike in for, despite telling them twice (once in person and once by phone 7 days later because they didn’t listen when I dropped the bike off. Apparently they didnt listen that time either) what I wanted fixed. I dont know if they ignore me because Im a woman or because Im not a professional racer/BMX/touring...etc. Also when I brought my bike home I discovered the tail light was missing. Over all, theyre really polite to your face, but the product and services are dreadful.

My girlfriend and I were shopping around for mountain bikes last week and stopped in here to see what they had since I hadnt ever been. After some research and lots of questions, we ended up each picking up a Fuji bike. The guys at the shop were super helpful and friendly and gave us a great deal on both bikes together plus the accessories we bought on the same day (helmets, car rack, pump, etc.). They got our bikes set up, installed and adjusted the clipless pedals I brought in, and helped install the rack on my car. Awesome. Then, when my tire lost a battle with a thorn on the Greenways the next day, I brought the wheel in and the nice fellow (Im bad with names) changed out my tube and took the time to show me the process and answer questions so I can do it myself in the future. This place is excellent and itll definitely be my first stop for bike needs in the future. A+++++++ would buy from again

Excellent customer service! I went in for clips for my spin cycle shoes and even though I know very little about biking they were so helpful! And they did not try to sell anything I did not actually need. Also, they didnt treat me like an idiot for my limited knowledge on biking. The guy who helped me also put my clips on my shoes free of charge and when I went back a few months later as one side had become uneven he even fixed that for free and with a smile on his face! Best bike shop in town hands town when it comes to customer service and knowledge.

The Only Place I Will Go!! They have helped me with many of my random projects. I also purchased mine and my wife and kids bikes from them they have always been very helpful and imformative with all of my questions. Plus they do Free Lifetime Tuneups on bikes purchased from there!! And to onesojourner and dave the people you saw were probably not employees , they seldom have more than 2 people on staff and they help one person at a time as they come. They are very helpful and if you are patient they will gladly help you with everything you need.

I bought a bike lock from this place and it didnt work correctly. I brought it back several weeks later and they gave me a new one for free. They also fixed a flat tire on my bike within 10 minutes and only charged $5. They were sincerely interested in helping me out. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone needing work done on their bike or for any parts or accessories you might need.

I will be using this business in the future. I called today about a mount that would attach phone/gps to my motorcycle. Even though this is clearly not a motorcycle shop the guy that helped me spent some time looking up distributers for the mounts that hook onto bicycles. very helpful.... and because of this I will be purchasing a bike from them. Good customer service still goes a long way

I just got to ride my bike to work for the first time after getting it back from Springfield Bicycle Co. I left early so I could explore a little and it was awesome. They did a Great job making my bike a little less lame with my new fork, crankset, and tires. I also got a tune-up. The bike feels so much more solid. Awesome Awesome Job. Thanks Stephen Wiles

Similar experience to onesojourners. Staff never approached me and when I went up to them for help (3 of them in a group chatting) they glanced at, but didnt acknowledge me. After asking for help they looked at each other and one reluctantly (!) helped me with my questions. Very unmotivated crew. From now on Ill be going elsewhere.

I walked into this store looking for a bike for my wife and I might as well have been invisible. I was in there for about 5 minutes cruising the isles and none of the employees even said "hi". This was not a busy day. There was one other customer in the place. You should just order stuff online and save yourself some cash.

Awesome shop! We buy everything there! Ive never been in there that they werent extremely helpful. In fact, my son was going to buy some 3 piece cranks they had in stock. The employee told him the ones on his bike were better. Saved an 11 year old boy from blowing his hard earned money. Will never go anywhere else.

I went in to find a part for a bicycle that I didnt buy from them. They didnt have the part I needed, but helped me track down where one might be and gave me ideas for alternatives. I ended up not even buying anything there that day, but I will go back next time I need anything. They were very, very helpful.

rbnhood - Aug 5, 2011 Awesome customer service, great prices, and great products. Scott, Steve, Seth, and Bo have all waited on me, been very patient with my questions, and didnt ever try to sell me something I didnt need. If you are into mountain bikes, this is one of the best shops in SW Missouri!

These guys were the biggest help building my bike and helped me immensely. Very welcome and enjoyable place to be, never pushed into buying anything and they are far from being from the elitist biking crew like at other stores.

I love this shop and the guys that work here. Everyone is great and have taken the time to help me decide what bike is right for my riding style. Will definitely continue to give them business!
