I walked in at 2 pm. I was the only one in the store to order and the guy behind the counter didnt even look up at me until I coughed. I tried to start ordering but he cut me off saying "pick wisely, for the true donut will bring you life while the false will take if from you." Thus I sat down and decided to wait until I was sure of what I wanted. Another customer came in and was given the same speech. They had picked the most expensive and breathtaking donut they had. Soon after taking a bite he had turned to ash. I had come to the conclusion that I must have a glazed donut. I take a bite and feel as if I had gained a year of life. Quickly I brought a dozen donuts to my father who was dying outside. I had given him one of the donuts, however, it was the only peaceful donut before the sudden earthquake which swallowed the other 11 donuts. The store collapsed and killed several Nazis with it. Bit of a hassle to get a donut but its alright. 4/5.

My kids and I came in this afternoon. We ordered 3 donuts, a fountain drink & a milk. Everything started out nice but then the ice machine was broken, which no one told me before selling me a fountain drink. When I went back to the counter to ask about it no one was there to help. A girl, who I assume was off was hanging out by the counter chatting with someone. She clearly saw me and another person waiting, but, did not bother to let anyone on duty know. I had to peek my head around back and ask for help. I was not happy that it took so long to get assistance, seeings I had two small children sitting at the table waiting for me. The place was not very clean, and the staff was rather unprofessional. Not one person smiled at me. Im disappointed in my 1st experience with Hurts. I had heard great things about it, but I, myself was not impressed.

My Husband ordered me the chocolate covered cherry donuts for Valentines Day! They cost $19. He picked them up on Valentines Day and i ate one later in the evening. The dounts were already starting to get hard like they had cooked them several days prior. I understand they have lots of orders for those but feel they should prepare better if so. I wrote Hurts Donuts in a message on fb a few days later. Was extremely nice and just told them the same thing Im writing here. They read my message but never even replied...to this day still hasnt replied. Not even a "Im sorry that happened" or anything!! I dont plan on giving Hurts Donuts my money again! I could have at least got a response!! Very disappointed!!

It hurts to say this, but Hurts Donuts is overrated. After hearing several people rave about this place, we ventured over to see what the buzz was all about. Unfortunately, the only buzz worth mentioning was the sugar buzz we got from eating the cloyingly sweet pastries. While the donuts covered with candy and sugary cereals create some serious eye candy, once you bite into them, you realize theyre nothing more than industrial grade sugar bombs. The frosting, the toppings and the soft, dense dough are all excessively sweet - just not my thang. We visited during MSU move-in day, so the lines were long - the shop could have used a couple more people behind the counter.

Eh, Ive had these before when people brought a box into work, and they seemed fine - not everything I need in life, but fine. I went into the store the other day and ordered two donuts I knew Id like because one was topped with Reeses pieces, and the other Butterfinger crumbles - two of my favorite candys. The Reeses donut wasnt good enough to take a second bite, but I didnt think too much of it. Big deal, I found one I dont like, but the Butterfinger one was just as terrible. Im pretty sure I didnt eat half of that one, but if I did, its just because I hadnt had breakfast yet. The bottle of milk was good though! lol. Oh well, plenty of other donuts in the world.

Delicious dont get me wrong, but theyve officially lost a weekly customer with my family. You might as well call ahead and ask if they actually have what you want. My last three trips across town have been a waste, because they didnt even have GLAZED DONUTS! How is it a donut shop its always out of the most basic donut. Youve got 10,000 cereal donuts 24/7 but not the OG? It was 8am!!! Maybe if they had real management, or if it wasnt ran by people more concerned with getting stoned then running an establishment, it would be better. Until then Ill keep frequenting St. Georges where they actually have donuts ready to be bought.

Many of the "special" donuts taste the same because the cake taste of the dough overpowers anything put on it (example cookies and cream didnt taste different from slim shady) Its a great idea, but needs some work on adjusting the flavor of some of the donuts. That being said, the Grape Balls Of Fire was one of the best sweets Ive had. The other issue is the people behind the counter are impatient and rude. They kept sighing as we took a few minutes to peruse the case to decide which donut we wanted to take home. All in all, its mostly an experience thing rather than a taste thing. No NFC or Chip payments

I used to go here on a regular basis in spite of the fact that its $6 or $7 more for a dozen of donuts than it is elsewhere, but I have now totally given up on this place. Ill give them a lot of credit for having good creativity but a one star rating when it comes to common business sense. Its cool to have unique, specialty donuts, but when you are repeatedly out of the basic staples of any donut shop, then maybe its time to slow down on the specialty stuff and focus on the basic products which will keep the bills paid. Add employees who choose to be rude, and you have a recipe for lost business.

AWFUL service. First, my gf called in to reserve half-dozen glazed donuts. Some kid sd "we dont hold donuts". Pretty sure the owner would be disappointed to hear that kind of response to a customers request, esp since we were going to be there in 15 minutes to pick them up. So we decide to go anyway to get some glazed to go. Not only did they not have ANY GLAZED DONUTS, they (the hipsters working the register) seemed annoyed that we even came in. NEVER will we give them our business. Do yourself a favor and pass on Hurts, very overrated.

Whimsical flavor choices and unusual types of doughnuts. Only place I know where you can order a donut milkshake! My favorite Donuts in all of Springfield come from st. Georges Donuts -- but Rays and Hurts tie for second place. Hurts definitely wins for the most unique selection. Most all of the staff are really cheerful and helpful -- which is what you would hope for from a whimsically-themed doughnut shop. The only exception I have noticed is a red haired female worker. She is very terse with clients -- to the point of rudeness.
