I dont know where to begin to describe how bad my visit was. Well start with the absurdly long wait while I watched two sprinkle donuts get passed up by everyone in front me. I thought my two boys were in luck that two sprinkle donuts were still left when we made it to the counter. I ordered the two remaining sprinkle donuts in addition to several other donuts to try a variety. By the time the server came to filling my rather large order, she had given the two sprinkle donuts that I had ordered to the lady behind me. "Were out of sprinkle donuts!" She says. "You werent when I ordered them, but you give them to the lady behind me? Behind me???" edit: I saw them do this same again to two more people behind me while I was siting not enjoying my donuts. They both ordered larger orders and had donuts taken from underneath them to people standing behind them. Lets move on to the coffee which she sold me... there wasnt any. Their coffee maker wasnt working properly and brewed an entire pot of water with no coffee. Thanks for selling me not one cup of hot water, but two. The donuts, they sucked. My four year old took one bit of the chocolate covered cake donut and said it was bad and tossed it down. It must really be crap if a four year doesnt want to eat a chocolate donut. As for the other donuts my wife and I tried they were all horrible except for the apple dumpling and cinnamon donuts. Lastly, I was excited to see a key lime bismarck on their menu, but they didnt make any that day. WTH? Why advertise a menu if you only sell what you have available? This visit was such a disappointment. You can honestly get better donuts, larger selection, and better service at Cub, or any gas station for that matter. Why bother with this place? Its not like there is a shortage of donut shops in the MSP area. PS Go to Glam Doll Donuts near Downtown Mpls before this place. Great donuts, great atmosphere, and far superior customer service!

Great doughnuts. Standouts include the maple bacon bar (possibly their best known, now dependably in stock even later in the morning), mango raised with coconut shavings, key lime bismark, and red velvet cake doughnuts. They made me a very good Americano, so even if the coffee isnt great (which I cant comment on) their espresso is good. Prices are, to my mind, fair for what you get. The "gourmet" doughnuts are more than Cub, sure, but Cub wont put a thick-cut slice of bacon on your maple long john. Theyve done a good job of fixing the inventory issues they had. In their first month of opening they were getting wiped out of stock early and often. Now they have a good selection well into 10:00 am, which I would guess lasts them most of the day. Theyve also added labels to all the doughnuts in their display cases so you know whats on offer at that point. There are a number of doughnut types that they list on their big board above the cashiers that dont appear on a given day, which is my one gripe. First-time visitors might get really excited about some option they see, only to be told its not available. I get that they want to advertize all the options, especially to attract pre-order business. I guess if it were me, Id block out the doughnuts on the board that werent available, then have paper pre-order menus listing all the possible types.

The doughnuts here are pretty good, but a little overpriced in my books. Mojo Monkey has some very unique doughnuts, which is definitely a plus if you like trying new things! Today, there was a smores donut, tres leche, maple bacon bar, german chocolate and many more! They really got a lot of variety here and thats great! What I really like about this place is the ideas set forth. The doughnut itself could be a little better tasting. I feel like the dough itself doesnt taste fresh. Its a little on the tougher side and dry side..especially the cake doughnuts. Now onto the service... The service is pretty good and they offer plenty of samples. They got lots of workers to help you out and very nice and helpful. One thing to note is to make sure you come early because if you come too late.. like an hour before closing, they run out of many of their good ones. The flipside is when you come around closing, they may give you extra donut or doughnut holes to round out your order! The only thing I didnt like was the price... It was really pricey.. My box of 6 donuts cost about $20... thats expensive, given the size of the doughnuts. Overall a good and unique experience, but the price keeps me from coming back!

I judge all donut shops on the same thing. The raised glazed donut. And in over 50 years of experience Ive got to say Mojo Monkey has made number 2. Number 1 being Krentzys in Washington PA. That is an awesome donut and if you ever visit Mojo Monkey Donuts be sure to have a raised glazed. Youll be very happy with yourself for getting one... or 6 or 12. Also had an Apple Fritter. Light fluffy dough, crunchy fried outside, and good sized chunks of apple... another 5 out of 5. I noticed they have a lot of different flavor combos that Ive never seen before. If theyre anywhere near as good as the glazed theyre awesome. I saw one with bacon on it, and promised myself to return to try one of those. So far the best donut in the twin cities as far as Im concerned. They also had samples. Today was about 1/4 blueberry lemon donut. Very tasty. Coffee was good. Really cant ask for much more from a donut shop. Something to keep in mind... they sell out EVERY day. So the earlier you get there the better. Had the Maple thick cut Bacon Long John. Awesome. A little over priced, but big enough to share. If youre willing to share bacon.

This place seems more like a novelty or a "hip"/"hipster" place than a neighborhood donut shop and the prices are pretty outrageous for the size of donut you get. This donut shop has a good-sized assortment of unconventional donut varieties (think smores- or bacon-themed), but they offer basically no "old-fashioned" donuts. I went in there this morning looking to get a regular donut, thinking they would offer at least a small assortment of your garden-variety donut flavors, but that wasnt the case. The donuts are loaded with sugar and the frosting is overwhelming -- I wouldnt eat a donut from this place if I were sitting at my desk or out in public. It almost made me sick to my stomach. While I understand why people like this place (again, I think its then novelty), I wont be going back. On the positive side, though, the customer service was great and the gals working at 6:30 a.m. were very friendly.

Delicious and special donuts. I am very picky when it comes to any type of sweets, but especially donuts. I stopped in because a friend of a friend had their donuts at her wedding. Turns out there was a good reason for that......they are incredible!! Their blueberry pancake donut is incredible as are every other donut I have ever had there. People have said they are pricey, but its because they are not a run of the mill bakery. This is handcrafted carb-genius. Its a small business too so that money you spend is going to two places: investing back into quality ingredients and into the bank accounts of the few people involved in a small business, not high powered overpaid executives. Go....now!
