Today, I went to Hobby Lobby 4300 Bass Pro Dr, Independence, MO 64055. It was the most horrible experience I have ever endured. First let me admit, I dont know how to sew or make beautiful crafts. However, I did not expect to be belittle, insulted, and humilated. Yes, I experience all three of these things by two female employee. I even had ladies in the check out line laughing along with the customer service personal. Usually, I like doing busy at family friendly, christian establishments; so, I was shocked at how callous these two female sales representatives could be. They must have left there christian hats at home. I should have asked them if I could have gotten them a saucer of milk thats how catty they were. I do intend to take my purchases back tomorrow and will never patronize Hobby Lobby in Independence, Mo again. I would not have given Hobby Lobby in Independence, Mo any stars, but yelp wouldnt take my review without at least one. Some good advice for those of you who dont have any sewing or crafting experience, DONT GO TO HOBBY LOBBY, THEY ARE JUST HATEFUL PEOPLE!!

The store itself is fine but we had an unsatisfying experience with the the customer service at checkout. When checking out a specific item that was listed at 50% off, the lady gave us 30%. When mentioning that it had a sign for 50% she said well Im sorry, youre lucky Im even giving the discount to you because it is not listed in the ad. We then showed her a 40% off coupon and nicely said, "you may have an associate take a look and fix the sign because Im almost positive it was 50% off, thats the only reason we picked that one up, but well take the 40%"..... as she rolled her eyes at us, all she said was "tomorrow is the last day anyways." It was a $1 difference so that doesnt bother me as much as the way she responded.

I returned an airbrush gun today and as I returned it I told the manager that the paint cap pops off very fast and hard when you apply air with the compressor. It hit me in the face leaving a tiny bruise underneath my eye where my glasses are. She didnt seem to care at all which made me very upset. I really hope they dont put that back on the shelves. If any of you see an airbrush gun for 68.99 DONT buy it!! If I had a message to say to the blonde manager with the short hair, it would be to more sympathetic and customer friendly. I understand people have bad days..but come on now.

Excellent service on the fabric counter on two occasions. The The customer service associate offered to walk all the way to the front to give me a cart, help me pick among dozens of prints, and was extremely patient and thorough. The manager there, Kevin I believe, is one of the best managers Ive encountered at any retail store. He recognizes peoples faces and makes them feel at home, Im just sad that hes no longer at my local store.

Wish that they would rotate their stock more often of their hobby related items such as plastic models/supplies/trains/etc, because theyve had the same items on their shelves in that section of the store for the last 2 years. Other than that, the customer service has always been very nice and friendly.

Good deals on canvas boards. Good selection of brushes and supplies. Only so-so selections on colors/brands for oil paint. Had a hard time finding some pretty common colors, and others they didnt have at all (ultramarine blue, for example).
