This is a review specifically for Michaels Custom Framing in Eden Prairie and not the store in general. I brought a piece of art work to be framed and when I brought it, it was rolled up. The woman working assured me it could be flattened out for framing. I selected a frame and three mats and the cost was around $270 after a discount/promotion. I was told the piece would be ready December 3, 2016 but did not receive a call informing me it was ready. I called about two weeks later and they told me they were really busy for the holidays. I finally received a call that it was ready the week before Christmas, so I went to pick it up. When I looked at it before taking it home, the picture was wavy and you could clearly see it. The woman who helped me at pick-up was extremely rude to me. She told me they tried several times to flatten it out, but couldnt. In fairness, I did tell her that it looked like "crap." There was no apology from her whatsoever. I asked her why no one called me to tell me there was an issue and she was dismissive of me. She told me her manager would call me later. The manager never called, so I called them several days later. I was very calm and polite to the manager and said I was open to whatever they needed to do to fix it, but that I would like to be informed of what the solution was. No one called me to discuss it with me. I received a voice message telling me they couldnt fix it and the art work was ready to be picked up about a week and a half later. When I went to retrieve the artwork, the woman (a different one) was very rude. She was not friendly at all and offered no apology or explanation. They did give me a full refund, but the customer service was deplorable. I can understand that they couldnt do what they promised, but they could have at least been polite to me. I will never bring anything to Michaels to be framed again. I would rather pay more somewhere else and be treated cordially.

I had a wonderful time restocking my oil painting supplies and brushes at this store. They seem to be continually running a bogo sale on their base quality pre-made canvases which is great for beginners to practice. Supplies are clearly marked with their quality by a 3 tier level system. 1 for beginners, 2 intermediate, and 3 for the high end professional supplies.

This is my favorite Michaels in the Twin Cities area. Its always well laid out, they have a great selection of quality products and seem to always have what you need. Its not junky like some of them can be. The frame shop here is the best! K

The products Michaels carry are a good quality generally. The trouble is finding out if the product is available. After three calls and hold times of 15 minutes each time with no answer, I decided to purchase the product elsewhere
