I wont be back! My mother and I were waiting in a long line when another cashier came to get us because she was opening a register. The manager stepped in front of my mother and told her to wait so that he could pull someone else over from a different line who had been waiting a long time. So had we! He actually put his arm up as a barricade in front of my 76-year-old mother. Then the item my mother purchased was not on sale as we had thought, but the clerk said it would be on sale the next week and she could bring back her receipt and get back the difference. When she went this morning, they told her she had to have the item with her. Why would she buy a heavy item, take it home, then carry it back in a few days later? Ridiculous policies and very poor customer service.

I, also, do not appreciate being followed around by what turned out to be an old man from "loss prevention" who accosted me, in plain clothes, about "..where you got that, it wasnt in your hand a minute ago.." Im just a regular looking guy, and I did indeed have that in my hand a minute ago, I apologize if you didnt see it, but I dont see how it matters, and to what end.. are you afraid Im smuggling stolen merchandise back into the store? I spoke to the manager by phone afterward, who only reluctantly, eventually admitted the guy works for them. I was absolutely floored. Me, with 6$ worth of merchandise.. in my hand. Wow! That is messed up.

There are other places where employees have better attitudes, but if I had to deal with the antiquated cash register system, and had to enter everything by hand, I would be mighty unhappy, too! The staff has been asking for new registers for years but the only change has been to put in automated credit card machines. If the owners/mgrs cared so much about the spiritual lives to close the doors on Sundays, it is too bad they couldnt make employees lives better by allowing them to be happy, which would bring more customers in. Seems like a win-win situation if the "powers that be" would just listen! !

I visit this Hobby Lobby because is closer to my home, however, I much prefer the Overland Park location on 119th and Metcalf because the staff is friendlier, other shoppers seem nicer and the store seems laid out better. I will say I have never been asked by a staff member if I need help with anything here, while I am always well taken care of at the OP location. And near Christmas there were two registers open while two other employees stood at a closed register at the other end talking and laughing loudly instead of opening another register and helping out folks waiting in line.

I dont normally comment. However, I called this Hobby Lobby recently to see if they carried a certain item. The first person I talked to spoke quickly and then said she didnt think they carried the item. Then she transferred me. The next employee told me I was speaking to the wrong department and transferred me again. The last person I talk to, didnt give it any thought if they had the item or not. Literally said they didnt have it, said goodbye and then hung up within a matter of 10 seconds. I didnt have any time to respond. Unfriendly/not caring staff.

I hate going to this hobby lobby. The staff are rude and treat you like they hate their job. I only return to get product for my business, but as soon as I walk in, I just feel this load of uneasiness creep up on me because I know when I check out...Im gonna get attitude from the clerks. I try to be nice to them, hoping that ONE DAY they will return the favor, but never get my wish. Sometimes I spend more money at other stores just to avoid staff here

Love this place also can find anything for my projects or even events I am helping out with. Love the low prices compared to other craft stores. I have found everything here 1/2 Or more less than the other craft store.

A quick phone pass to the right department allowed me to check to see if my items were in stock as I passed by in my car. Once I entered, they directed me to the right place, and talked me into buying four items.

Great customer service, but they carry so many types of things that they cant carry much variety in any one thing. They only have one brand of thread and not much selection of yarn or fabric.

Worst service I have ever encountered. Talked to me as if I were slow when checking out. Both the fabric service and checkout service was absolutly terrible. I wont be returning.
