Shopping at Bridal and Formal Boutique & House of Tux was one of the most pleasant formal shopping experiences Ive ever had. I am the maid of honor for my best friends wedding and we stumbled upon the store while looking for bridesmaid dresses. We had been to several other local and chain retail stores, but never found the chic styles that we found at Bridal and Formal Boutique & House of Tux. This store has a very extensive selection of bridesmaid dresses, all stylish. Aside from the variety of styles, I was blown away by the competitive prices. With eight bridesmaids it was very important for us to find an option that not only looked great, but was affordable. I was worried that a local boutique would be out of our price range. NOPE! They have dresses that are priced competitively with that big chain store everyone thinks about when searching for bridesmaid dresses, except Bridal and Formal Boutique & House of Tux actually has cute dresses! Their staff was extremely helpful and was enthusiastic about helping us find the perfect bridesmaid dresses. Lets be honest, sometimes, we women can get a self-conscious while shopping for dresses. Their staff was always encouraging and honest; when something didnt look right, they were truthful about it, but always had a great alternative to suggest. I am extremely short, so I obviously had to have alterations done. Their seamstress did a fabulous job and I was truly shock at how inexpensive their alterations done. I had to ask the price several times, because I wasnt sure I was hearing it right. I was expecting to pay something similar to that chain store. Wrong again. BaFB&HoT was extremely reasonable. I had some fit issues with the dress, due to my body shape, and the staff, again, was very helpful with presenting solutions, while not pushing their other products. They genuinely wanted to see me look my best in this dress. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with my shopping experience here. I was shout my praise for this store from the rooftops! All I regret is not finding the store sooner, so my own bridesmaids could shop here.

On Aug 27, 2012 I called and placed a hold on a dress that my daughter wanted with this company. But things changed and the dress was not needed. I called on 9/4 to cancel the hold and was told the owner would have to call me back, no call. On 9/11 I called again and was told the owner would have to call me. Today I go and visit the shop and was told that they would only give me a store credit. I told them I did not need a store credit and was told “well it’s store policy”. I told them I needed to talk to the person in charge and was told by a lady, who had an English accent, that I would have to talk to the owner. I said ok and she said “well she’s in a meeting today and not available”. I told them they had until 2pm to call me back or I was going to file a complaint. At 1:44pm I received a call from the lady that I spoke with and she related that she spoke with the owner and that she is off and will call me back tomorrow. I asked her, did you not say she was in a meeting eailer and all she could say is she will call you back. The owner will not call back or is not getting the messages. The did not tell me that by putting a hold on a dress that I would only receive store credit nor is it posted any were that I saw when I was in there. They will not refund money owed back or return calls. Thank goodness I made calls from my cell phone so that I can prove when and at what time I called. I believe now that I will have to take them to Justice Court to get my money back pulse court costs.

The service here is very poor. When I went in with my bridesmaids the first time, we couldnt seem to get any help. I excused it for them being busy and decided to come back later. The second time, the guy behind the counter made sure we got attention. As we nosed through dresses, I explained to the lady helping us that I was browsing through numerous stores looking for the ideal dress I wanted to put the girls in, so I might not make the purchase today. I might come back after I nose around a bit more. At the time, she seemed like she was alright with it. We tried on the only dress that we liked on the line for my style of wedding, but I wasnt too sure of it. I had seen a different dress elsewhere similar in design that I liked better and the girls were in agreement. The lady helping me decided she wanted to have us look at a book of dresses made by the same designer. I did so, thinking I may find something to my taste, but unfortuantely I didnt. When she asked if there was one there I liked, I told her no.. they werent the style I was looking for as politely as possible and even told her thank you. She slammed a clipboard she had down on the table, snatched the book out from in front of me and stormed off! I was appauled. I didnt even bother to look at any other books they had, or their wedding gowns. I just left. Theres no way Im wasting my time on a place that has service like that.

I went for a tux to get married in. I went 3 times total and this review is the overview from all 3 visits. The overall quality seemed very good to me. The building was kinda blah and parking was horrible, especially coming from the east, which is why I gave appeal a good rating. The service was excellent. I walked in the door (they have an annoying door chime, by the way) and was greeted by 3 people almost immediately. After I noticed the tux I liked, the staff showed me all of the colors available, all of the styles available, and the was willing to dress the dummy in all of them (I told them they didnt have to do all that). After colors were chosen, we figured out my sizes, and I told them I would be back to pick it up. When I returned, the staff immediately attended to me again and pulled retrieved the tux I ordered. They let me fit it right then and there to make sure everything was right. The tux itself fit like a glove. I paid them and left again. On the return date, we ended up forgetting to bring the tux back. It was the honeymoon after all. ;-) In any event, I returned it the morning after fully expecting to pay the late fee, and they took the tux, wrote in that I returned it, waived the late fee, and sent me on my way! Needless to say, I was thoroughly impressed. Its not often that people will give you little things that make all the difference.

My daughter and her boyfriend went there yesterday to be fitted for Prom. They were already nervous because they didnt know what to expect. When they first walk into the door, they looked at them like "you dont belong in this store, you cant afford anything here". That may not be what they were thinking, but thats the way the kids were feeling! Then when they are trying to match the tie and the vest to the piece of dress material. They acted like they didnt want to be bothered. Then after all was said and done, they never let them (the kids) see the complete suite and tie and vest on together. My daughter and her boyfriend were so upset by the time they left there, they didnt know what to do except call me from the parkinglot and tell me what happened. They were closed by the time I got off work, but I will address this problem TODAY! I will NEVER make a referral to this place!!!! You got our business once!! Never again.
