My name is Melanie Brooks and up until recent I have been an excited bride due to wed on the 23rd of September. Planning a wedding can be exciting, fun, and stressful. Every woman longs for the experience of picking a dress for herself and her bridesmaids. The experience should be special and mine was just that with Ballew Bridal in Collierville. I chose a specific dress by Alfred Angelo and the order was placed for an August arrival allowing more than enough time for any alterations. I marked the dresses off my list and had not thought about it anymore simply because the experience was so professional and helpful. This past Friday July 14, 2017 I received a call from Ballew informing me that the Alfred Angelo company had closed its doors without warning and at the time of the call they could not confirm if my order had been processed or would be shipped. The consultant was very kind but all I heard was that “I had no bridesmaids dress”. I instantly started to cry and asked to call her back after I collected my thoughts. My mind raced as I thought of a possible solution. Some may pose the question ”What’s the big deal? Just get more dresses from somewhere.” That may work with 2 bridesmaids but I have 10 bridesmaids. It also can take 8-12 weeks for bridesmaids dresses to be made and I don’t have much time keeping in mind alterations may be needed. Basically, It could not be done. At this point I am still crying so I called my mom. She listened and suggested we both head to Ballew to see what our options were. While in route my mom called Ms. Ballew to verify we were on the way and asked if she could help. I was the first to arrive to Ballew and was met with a caring hug from Ms. Ballew. She already had dresses pulled that were similar to the original dress I had chosen. Ms. Ballew also had contacted another vendor to verify their quick shipment time range and showed us the options for that dress line. Once I had chosen another dress, Ballew Bridal had it quick shipped and fabric changed to match my colors. They turned the most stressful day of my wedding planning around completely. While finalizing my dresses, I sat and thought about how my horrible day was also a horrible day for Ballew Bridal. Although Alfred Angelo was the designer I originally chose, I was a customer of Ballew Bridal. Although this was no fault of her own, Ms. Ballew took on full responsibility of helping find a solution and going the extra mile to ensure that I could have my wedding. She went out of her way in every aspect and showed me that she cared. I have been to several boutiques and major chain bridal shops and have never felt that feeling. I cannot endorse her business enough and thank her for all she did for me. Thank you.

I had the worst experience here yesterday. Melissa was my bridal consultant. She was not helpful at all. She acted like she hated her job the entire time. After I tried on about six dresses she told me that she didnt have anything else to show me. Keep in mind that my appointment was supposed to be two hours long and we had only been there for about 45 minutes at this time. Plus we had a scheduled appointment at 10 oclock and there were so many people in there it was hard to move, much less try on wedding gowns. I dont understand why they would schedule so many brides to come in at the same time. This was suppose to be a HAPPY day that I pick out my future wedding gown with my mother and sister. I dont know about the other consultants there, but Melissa made my experience terrible.

I have had such an incredible experience with Ballew Bridal! From the moment I walked in the door, I felt so welcomed and excited to be a bride. The store has a wide selection of both wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses, and it was so fun to shop there!! Also, my consultant, Lauren, is truly one of the sweetest and most genuine ladies! She has gone above and beyond to make my bridal experience so special, and she was so helpful when searching for my perfect dress! Lauren is so patient and so joyful- she truly makes you feel special and appreciated. Also, I recently went in for my first dress fitting, and once again I had an awesome time! Mrs. Ballew is so kind and wonderful to work with. I cannot rave about Ballew Bridal enough! They are the best!!

I had ordered my dress 2 months ago. I was told by Connie Smith that the dress would come in by July 1st. I had called the week before July 1st for confirmation; I was told that the dress would be in the 2nd week of July. I had called on the Wednesday of the 2nd week, and I was told by Becky or Rebecca that the dress came in on June 21st, and someone had called me.... On top of nobody calling me nor leaving a voicemail, Id relayed to Rebecca all that had transpired. And, she didnt give an ounce of remorse and asked me when I would like to come in. I dont think Ive had to deal with such a bad customer service before. Id only gone here from a recommendation. If anybody asks about you, I will recommend them to go elsewhere.

We had to come here out of desperation for bridesmaids dresses. We were out of time and had to get something soon. So this was our last option and I regret not trying to get dresses sooner so we could have avoided this place. The sales lady was the rudest woman I have ever met in sales. She constantly said we didnt want that, or thats ugly and just put all of our wants down. She treated my bridemaids like crap and didnt think they should have an opinion at all and kept trying to force me to just pick a dress for them, which I expressly and repeatably said I did not want to do. If it were not for the time pressure we would have walked out and never come back. I do not recommend this place at all.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience! After going to a few other popular bridal stores in Memphis, I ended up buying both my wedding dress and my bridesmaid dresses here. Both times Jeanie assisted us. She is fantastic! Very attentive, so kind, and extremely knowledgable about all of the dresses they have at the store (they have a lot!). Jeanie asked what types of dresses I was looking for, let me choose a bunch, and then she chose a few too that I wouldnt have chosen right away. The wedding dress I bought ended up being one of the dresses she picked out! I really cannot rate Jeanie and Ballews in general, high enough! Would recommend them in a heartbeat!

I Loved the whole experience I had here. They had an amazing selection and in the price range we were looking for. The staff all took their time with me and helped me with my unique alterations I wanted. They got them perfectly and the dress fit like a glove. I had such a great and stress free experience here and would recommend to anyone I know looking for a wedding dress, plus their prom selection was super cute. My family and I all had a good time looking through the dresses. I also drove 4 hours to come here from a suggestion from my cousin and I am so glad I did! The best thank you to all the staff and Ms. Ballew!!!!
