I really wanted to love this store. I just came in today with a basketful of Liz Claiborne, Ralph Loren, Lane Bryant, etc. Not one single piece was accepted. Not even the shirt whose twin I found on their racks - thats right... the exact same shirt. Not even the Lane Bryant skirt that I bought last summer that I never wore and that still had the tags on it! Im not sure what theyre looking for exactly, but all the items that I brought in were brands that were listed on their "heres what we buy" website. Cash up front is a great idea, but not if theyre not going to be consistent about what they purchase. As I walked around the store, I saw lots of the brands that I brought in to sell. But I also found several Mossimo items. Thats a TARGET brand, people! So they dont want my silk Liz Claiborne shirt, but theyll sell you a cheap cotton dress from Target for more than you would have paid originally. So what did they say as a reason for why they wouldnt take ANY of my name-brand clothing? "We have to pass." I have absolutely no idea what that means, but I do know thats an unacceptable way to treat customers. Oh, and the clothes that I spend about an hour carefully arranging in my basket so they would be in good shape when I got to the store? Wadded up and tossed back into my basket. Wow... Wow. What kind of store DOES that?!? This was a dumbfounding experience, and one I will not repeat. I warn everyone: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS STORE! I am going back to TurnStyle in Highland, where my clothes and I are treated with respect.

This morning, I took approximately 25 pieces of clothing, mostly tops and jackets, to the Roseville Clothes Mentor. Most of the items were either Jones New York, Liz Claiborne, Ann Taylor Loft, Chaps, Coldwater Creek, or Rafaella (all clothing brands that I saw in the store as I was browsing). After the sales person went through the clothing, she told me they would accept 11 items, and I was paid $32.50 for them. The rest, I was told, were either "out of style" or "had small stains". Truthfully, I didnt notice stains on any of them, nor do I think they were out of style. One of the "rejected" pieces was a Coldwater Creek top that I bought last year and just decided it didnt fit me right--it still has the price tag on it--$49.50. And this plain light green boatneck 76% silk top is out of style? Really? So I am less than impressed with my experience there. On a positive note, it is convenient to get paid cash on the spot instead of waiting the 3 months or whatever at the other consignment places, having to go back and find out how many pieces sold and what your payout will be. And the sales woman was pleasant and gracious, even after I commented that I was disappointed that they only accepted a fraction of what I brought in, and that I only got an average of $3 for each item. Like a previous reviewer, I too was SO wanting to love this place. The best thing is just not too expect too much when you bring items into the store. If you do, like me youll probably leave disappointed.

Never going here again. Every time has been a horrible experience and each time I go back its even worse customer service than before. Im done giving them the benefit of the doubt of having a bad day. I worked retail for 7 years and this type of service is appalling. If I could give them a zero star review I would. I didnt catch the womans name who helped me when my items were ready. She was extremely rude. She asked me what I wanted while she was doing something on her computer, never looking up at me. When I responded I was there to pick up my items she said she couldnt help me. Ok then who can, she told another sales woman to help me and was super short with her as well. She didnt even let me decide if I wanted store credit or cash, she just assumed I would take the cash. Threw my bag in the counter and then decided again to have the other sales woman help me. Brought in clothes with tags still, as well as items worn once from Jcrew and Ann Taylor. They didnt take any of my items due to "condition" and "missing pieces". None of the items had additional pieces with them when purchased. They took one pair of my Jcrew dress pants but not the other - they were the same style!

Brought in 2 big bags full of clothes. All new, all had been purchased within the past 6 months or less. Either NEVER worn or only worn a couple times. When I came back, they told me they would take 2 items for $8. 8 dollsrs. For 2 items that cost me easily about $120+ and one of which Ive never worn. When I asked why they couldnt take anything else, she said they were either "junior items" (from American eagle) which maybe 2 of them were. And for "style and condition" lol...dont waste your time. You could spend hundreds of dollars at the mall, go directly to clothing mentor afterwards and they would probably give you $10 if youre lucky. What a joke. Better off going to clothing exchange NYC located by Ridgedale in Minnetonka, they are at least reasonable and not a slap in the face.

I took a medium amount of clothing to the Roseville Clothes Mentor to sell. Included were a pair of burgundy patent leather flats, less than a year old, that had been $100 at Macys. Id worn them twice, because the heel was wrong for my feet, and they chafed. I was offered $5.00 for them. When I protested, she went up to $15.00. Having your clothes "valued" by someone who doesnt know their value was the first sign that this was not a mentor Id want helping me buy clothing. Since then, Ive noticed that the clothes that are hanging in the window are, inevitably, at least three or four years behind the times. Hmmmmm. Ill give them one more chance. But Im currently less than impressed with their clothes knowledge and their inventory.

I dropped off some clothes and shoes at 3:18 today, and at 3:20 received a text that my items had been processed. When I came back they said they didnt want anything, because of "older styles." Oh, really? The 3 year old Dooney & Bourke bag, the year old Sperrys that were worn 5 times? The perfect condition Banana Republic dress and barely worn Nine West booties purchased 1 year ago? Given the 2 minute turn around time, I can guarantee that the girl didnt even look in the bag. Odd, considering all they had for sale there appeared to be Deb and Dots rejects. Bottom line: dont bother bringing your quality clothes and accessories here. It will be a waste of your time.

My husband (bless his heart) bought me a pair of heels from famous footwear and a purse to match for our anniversary. The shoes were too small and I had nothing to match the purse. I had called this store location and the clerk said to bring them both in. After driving in the rain from Robbinsdale, the clerk told me that shed give me $5 for my $50 shoes that were NEVER worn and nothing for my purse that is also brand new (never worn). I was SO angry. Just then, a lady walks in with a pair of scuffed up old boots and the clerk gave her $35. Idk. It must be a personal thing.
