My initial review of Red Wing Ford was pretty negative. I bought a car that had a laundry list of issues from a salesman who I did not care for his actions or mannerisms. After my review, the General Manager reached out to me, and we had a dialogue about my experience, and what I had wrote. It didn’t change the facts, but he extended the olive branch to make things right (within reason of course), and I gave him the fair chance to do just that. The car required extensive work, and it wasn’t going to be cheap. They were willing to cover the majority however I was to cover $250 of it. While some I’ve shared that with expressed outrage, I found it to be a fair compromise. It’s a business, I get it. The lights aren’t on for free. I have a full work schedule at the office, however I took a satellite system down to Red Wing Ford so that I could work while they ran diagnostics on my car, to which they wrapped it up pretty darn quick. They knew what the issue was and hit me with the news. It was going to be much more expensive but my obligation would only go up $100. A fair compromise. They were eating around $1000 to my $350. I agreed, and they ordered the parts. What they did next was not expected, they took into consideration my work schedule, and drove a fully loaded Jeep Grand Cherokee with a full tank of gas over an hour away to my office, and took possession of my car from there. Tim, the General Manager kept in constant communication, I didn’t have to bug him. When he drove my car back to Eagan, it still wasn’t right. He asked to keep it another day. The next day when he came to the office, we took it for a spin and it still wasn’t right. He said he’d work with me on making it right, and we arranged a good day to work on that goal together. However when that day came, the car went further down the spiral, more issues cropped up and the cars degrading condition had the rear end come out from under me and went under a tanker truck (nearly hitting it). Enough was enough. Oddly enough, Tim agreed who heartedly. No pushback whatsoever. I wanted another car, at this point I wasn’t even picky about specs. I mentioned buying the loner car. Tim said he would see what he could do and then call me back. He didn’t have a vehicle with my wants, too specific. So what he did was work out a trade with another car dealership to get me a car with the specs that I had wanted. Next he took back the car I bought at 100% reimbursement rate, then the brand new 2014 that he found me he gave me every dealer incentive and break he could, then took a loss to get it down to my payment range. At the end of the day, not only was the initial deal honored, but expectations were exceeded! You can’t control the condition of a used vehicle, but you can judge a company by the leadership that keeps it. I will be buying another car from this dealership. Thank you Tim for making things right by honorable deeds, not just words. ~Eric

We went there last night to check out a car that we really like. Before going there, I told them that we are pre-approved at low rate and ask them if they can beat that rate. They told me that they will work it out to match it. So, we test drove the car and really liked it and want to purchase the car. To make the story short, they gave me a rate higher than expected. Not even close! They are also pressuring us to put a $3,000 down payment! I talked to Clem and he was over friendly and helpful but the bald guy who didnt even introduce himself to us was really rude and told me that hes not even making money by staying late with us. I was okay with putting $500 down but when they told me it has to be $3,000! They lost my business. They keep on telling me somebody wants to buy that car the next day, so if I put $500 down and the guy has more then I will still lose the car. Whats the point in putting downpayment in the first place if they are still going to sell it to another person? It also seems shady that when I inquire on the phone, Clem keeps on asking me to put $500 down payment to reserve the car even without seeing the car in person. Even asked me to give my creditcard on the phone to pay the reservation fee/ downpayment. Who does that? Its a scam! I dont recommend this place.

My experience at Redwing Ford was awesome. I found my truck on their website. I walked through the door without an appointment or had even talked with anyone on the phone and was greeted with a smile and how may I help you. The saleswoman Bailey whom I worked with was very helpful and immediately brought the two trucks I was interested in to the front door so I could test drive. The next day I brought my wife and our two young kids and our new born baby to the dealership to look at the truck. Once again the service was great. My family and I felt welcome at the dealership. Very happy with my new truck and the customer service that my family and I received from Bailey. So much that a month later I returned to talk with Bailey about a expedition my wife had found on line. The vehicle was brought to the dealership from Michigan in a couple days. Long story short I bought that vehicle as well. Just want to say thank you to Tim and Bailey and the rest of the sales and service team at Redwing Ford for a great experience. Both my wife and I really felt like our interest and our family was number one priority. Look forward to continuing doing business in the future.

These guys are great. I came from Colorado to buy a truck because they had the one I wanted. Ill try and go back there for my next one because of the service they provided. They were easy to work with on the initial purchase. I bought a Vehicle Service Plan with the truck, 6mo later I needed to use it, I spent several days going back and forth getting the work approved. Long story short as a last ditch effort I called Red Wing and spoke with a manager. He apparently knew who to call and what to say and got my issue taken care of. That level of service existed for me as a customer that had spent my money 6 months ago and was 1,000mi away. Very glad I went to Red Wing.

If you want people to try to talk down to you when they know literally nothing about cars themselves, go here while they ram bs up your butt. They dont even know that the Chrysler 300 and the charger (and challenger) are all built on the same platform. They tried to tell me that all wheel drive would help me in the wind and argued for an hour with me in why I shouldnt get a car for 10k because it will wear out faster. Well, duh. The one Sales guy wasnt too bad of a guy... but thats about all the good I have to say. Test drive the 300, its an awesome car. The people are just not knowledgeable but are also poor at pretending to be.
