Eric from Hastings Chrysler Center called me twice last week, and called James as well. Earlier last week I posted about a bad experience we had with Hastings Chrysler Center. They hadn’t done anything illegal or even anything out of the usual, customary realm of how used car dealerships do business. It was just that the car my son bought from them broke down within an hour of purchase. I was completely dismantled and very upset after calling the dealership and asking them to consider helping “somehow” and had gotten an answer that didn’t reflect their company’s mission statement. Unfortunately, Eric wasn’t at work at the dealership the day I called them, otherwise my post from last week would never have existed. Eric offered a remedy to the car situation today to help James out that brought “walking the walk” to a higher level and grander scale. I’m not going to go into a bunch of details of what that remedy consisted of because let’s face it, “as-is” IS absolutely “as-is”. Period. ALL automotive dealers selling used cars can’t, won’t and shouldn’t be expected to do ANYTHING for you if your “as-is” car doesn’t make it a block down the road. HOWEVER, Hastings Chrysler Center DID do something this time. They didn’t have to….but they DID. They showed their level of integrity in a HUGE way. Today, the world feels like it’s a little better place. Thanks Eric at Hastings Chrysler Center. I’d like to kindly request that EVERYONE EVERYWHERE share this post with EVERYONE EVERYWHERE please. I was proven wrong about this dealership…and I want everyone to know that I blissfully admit that I was absolutely wrong.

In my experience I have had many dealership experiences, some good and some bad. In the past few weeks they have been bad until I went back to the dealership my parents had used for many years; Hastings Chrysler Jeep. Yesterday my wife and I decided to resume our search for a smaller SUV. We walked in and immediately felt at home, everyone was very welcoming and professional. About two hours later we drove home in the exact vehicle we wanted and for the first time in history the exact payment. What I mean by this, is was the estimated payment they tell you in the beginning was the payment we left with! That has never happened, paired with awesome service by everyone. Normally, the sales guy always wants your business but the other sales guys dont even care. Not at this dealership, I have found a family dealership that we will stay with for years! Every person was great, stayed late to chat with us, even after they closed. I have dealt with many dealerships over the years and I am happy to say we found our home! The sales guys, sales manager and the finance experience was the best yet! Give these guys a try and I guarantee you will have the experience you deserve to have. We drove 40 miles to make it there and it was worth every mile of the drive. Thanks again!

Well I traveled quite a ways to purchase a brand new 2015 vehicle that was discussed at the price it was listed online and low and behold the price was higher when I got there with no explanation besides dealerships put fake numbers online. Took the longest time Ive ever spent at a dealership. Got home and the drivers door lock wasnt even working and I let them know and wanted to get it fixed when I came back for applying Perma Protection and they said they would need it a day or so, but I live 2.5 hours away and said I would be better off taking it to a local dealership of mine. I was also promised gas for the trip there and back and got nothing. Definitely wish I would have walked out as soon as I saw the price was different and kept looking a little longer because as soon as they make a sale youre on your own and pretty much tossed to the curb without even a sorry about your broken lock that was broke on their lot. Wow and their detail shop is the worst Ive seen and I had to redo the windows and outside because there were white spots and haze all over. A spotless spray car wash could have done a better job.

Not a shock to see other reviews on here about Chris and Bart! I negotiated a deal on a brand new truck that would include the GPS. The deal was talked about in front of my fiancé and Chris specifically about the GPS. I purchased the additional undercoating, top coat, and fabric protection. So obviously I have no problem paying for additional items to be done to the truck. It is true that I didnt look at all the items to be done to the truck before I signed the paperwork and that is where they got me. It was obvious that Chris did either a bait and switch or just flat out lied to us. When it came time to do all the additional items to the truck. It magically became an additional purchase when my fiancé went to drop off the truck for 600.00. I filed a complaint with the BBB and Bart the GM finally responded with a "courtesy off the GPS price." He pretty much called my fiancé and I liars after such a large purchase obviously this dealership is more concerned about their money and not the consumer!

No other Chrysler dealers in the St Croix River Valley were willing to be as kind and compassionate as this place was towards me today. Weve been having repeated issues with a 2016 vehicle we just purchased in March (not from Hastings Chrysler) and like I said, no other Chrysler dealers in the area wanted to even talk to me about the possible problems. They just wanted to get me in and schedule an appointment and get money out of me without even talking about anything else. I called Hastings Chrysler because I know theyre a trusted, dependable dealership and sure enough I talked with a service adviser who was WILLING to treat me like a human being and have a conversation first before pressuring me to schedule. Im not sure if well have our vehicle serviced there right now considering we live so far away, but we might - now or in the future; and the next time were in the market to purchase a vehicle, you can bet well start there for sure.

I went there today prepared to buy a new dodge truck and the finance guy (Eric I think thats his name) refused to give me a price quote unless I test drove the truck. I explained to him that I have already test drove one and ready to buy. The guy flat out refused to give me a price so I walked out. I dont know how they think they can sell a vehicle without giving a someone a price quote. Kinda felt like the finance guy was running the show and not the salesman. Sales guy was great, finance guy was a moron to think he can sell a vehicle without give me their price of the truck. Wanted to buy locally but the finance guy ruined that. I would recommend to the owner to keep him in the back room or provide training to teach him how to deal with costumers ready to purchase a new vechicle.

I highly recommend this place if youre looking for a great car at a great price. Shawn did a phenomenal job finding me a beautiful car that I absolutely love. Im extremely indecisive and had to take it on 4 different consecutive test drives; Shawn was very patient with me, which I had not expected. He was very truthful with what he thought would be a good fit for me and very up front with what he thought wouldnt be. My parents have purchased Jeeps from this location for several years and that is why I initially had to check it out- they recommend these guys too! While waiting for my car to be buffed and cleaned, Shawn personally took my moms Jeep (parked out front) through the car wash, completely complimentary. Again, I highly recommend this place!
