This place is my absolute favorite coffee shop in the world! I used to be on the student board of directors here back in high school, and Ive loved this place ever since! The Friday night concerts are always a great time with local bands, the free open mic Tuesdays are often a hit too, and theres native plantings, solar panels, a rain barrel and more that make this building even more environmentally friendly! They have the best fair-trade & organic coffee and lots of delicious food/ snack items! (And yummy ice cream in the warmer months) Its a very popular biking and walking and rollerblading hub with plenty of parking available to launch a recreational adventure in all four seasons, with cross country skiers sometimes passing by in the winter months too. There are even some bike accessories available for purchase too. Beautiful outdoor patio, plenty of seating and great multipurpose rooms inside for organization/ business/ town hall meetings. I cant say enough positive things about this place. Please help support this wonderful organization: both the non-profit and business sides of it!

A destination for bicyclists at its core, but the space itself is great. There are solar panels on the roof, and a screen inside that tells how much energy they have generated. Places for kids to play games, and the food and coffee are great. I was there early on a Saturday morning and there were freight trains rolling by, accompanied by a musician on a keyboard, drum machine, and a sampler. Great place to relax and enjoy a coffee.

Used to come by this place all the time, but now I dont make my way out to Hopkins as often as I used to 3 years back, now its maybe about 1-2 times a year. I Spent at least 6 years coming by here when I used to come to a weekly gathering on Thursday evenings here. Should come back just for old times sake, well maybe in the summer when the weathers more hospitable when Im out and about biking more!

A cute little place if your between the ages of 12 and 15. Open Mic night on Tuesday had no waiting to perform which is a good thing, however it only had three middle school kids performing for two other middle school kids which isnt saying much. The kid behind the counter was barely awake but did manage to stir himself to give me a Diet Coke. A cute teen hangout, but thats it.

Awesome little student-run coffee house with a unique menu and live music weekly. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Historic depot building lends to the experience, and is conveniently located on the Hopkins bike trail, directly off the Hwy 169 Excelsior Blvd exit. Definitely recommended for your next coffee break.

Gotta love local non profits! A "Java to Stay" gets you a bottomless mug of coffee at a cheaper price because it conserves paper and the Depot Coffee House has a green initiative. I got to fill my 16 oz coffee thermos for the cost of one of those mugs of coffee too!

Best cold press (with vanilla and a touch of cream!), Ive ever had. And Ive had a lot. Phil, the manager, also makes amazing homemade eats – breads, bars, soups and lunch salads. I recommend the lemon/poppy seed banana bread thing. :)

Its great as a destination or a waypoint on bike rides. Plenty of vehicle parking too. Good coffee and a variety of baked goods/snacks. Usually a GF choice, though thats not my thing so I dont always notice.

I showed up last minute. They got out the creamer for us. They close way earlier than the Bucks, the Bou, or the Bros, but I guess their location isnt prime for Saturday nights. Get there by 5PM at the latest.

My customary stop after a bike ride. Good for quick meetings too since theres plenty of parking. They do a pretty fine Mexican chai and the patio is a good place to hang.

I think this is the best place in the area for a biker to stop for coffee. Really nice outdoor area on a non-winter day. Ive always appreciated the people working there.

Fun place for a break and snack along the Cedar Lake bike trail. The cafe is a repurposed train station - fun reuse of a cool building and a great location for bikers.

Student-managed coffee house - furniture is all re-purposed materials, which is cool. I think coffees pretty much coffee, so that part doesnt matter to me much.

Service was good with a nice community atmosphere, food options were slim the day I was there, you could have a tuna sandwich or tuna pasta salad.

It;s a coffee house. Good selection of tea and a nice stop on the bike trail. Events some evenings and it is run by Hopkins HS students.

Bikes, music and coffee! The location makes The Depot a perfect pit stop during a ride on one of the trails that connect to the location.

The staff seemed hostile and the drink was probably the worst smoothie Ive ever had.
