Refund scam: no wonder they no longer partake in the consumer reports. Three weeks after puchase and with a receipt for cash I tried to return unused unopened items. I was denied cash back and would only give me a in store credit. After waiting over 10 minutes with a bad back, management never come to counter. I felt bad for the elderly woman and my back could not stand there until the manager would be back from break. FYI- there computers know whats a credit card purchase versus a debit card purchase as it is stated on the receipts. With a different return now with a debt purchase before they added the system upgrade, they again denied a refund in cash. They promised 24 hours to credit account. Ive been down this road before with them. I guarantee I will not get a refund in 24 hours, and dont foresee it to ever happen!!! Ill never shop here again. I recommend thinking about your items of purchase, in the case you have to return it.

As a former employee I know how they work on the inside, they genuinely cared for there employees and we all enjoyed helping customers, only problem is guests would ask the carry-outs or cashiers where a specific item is we would attempt to help but we stayed at the front at a register or running carts in from outside. If you have a question look for the department and ask the people who work in that department, I mean if you ask a contractor an electricians question he probably wont know. Main thing is theyre understaffed but they work as hard as possible to help everyone they meet... I realize it sounds like Im trying to help them with this but I mean seriously the things your complaining about... they dont send a semi truck with 1 item they send it with many thats why special orders take so long.

My husband was in Menards trying to get ideas for a house that we are buying. Not knowing a whole lot about flooring and probably looking confused Eric Loberg came up to him and helped him out tremendously! He actually called me while i was on my way to join him and told me about this worker he just met and how great he was. Once i got there i had a bunch of questions so we easily found him and he was able to answer all of our questions plus some! He is amazing!

Almost every time I go in there, it feels like the employees are "hassled" if you ask them a question. Im also in the middle of trying to receive my doors I ordered, and Ive literally been to their store 3 different times and placed 4 phone calls, and nobody knows where my doors are. Worst customer service. "Waste Big Time, Save Little Money At Menards!"

Apparently electricians dont need label makers, at least according to this menards-- where my request to be led to the label makers (after looking in electrical, where they would be at Home Depot) stumped 4 different employees. I then went to the Walmart next door, where I found four label makers to choose from in less than 5 minutes

Worst customer service ever!! Ordered a washer and dryer and it was in transit for a month and all they would say was "its in transit". Got them from Kmart instead for a lower price. If you can go to any other hardware and appliance store I suggest you do.

Staff didnt know the product. The siding I wanted to see, was only visible hanging on the wall. 12 feet up in the air. No samples.
