Not a happy customer! We pre-purchased 16 used railroad ties in advance to border our childrens playscape in the backyard. The customer service rep. told us that they weighed only 80 lbs. and could be an easy DIY project for me and my wife. We paid our landscape company to pick up and deliver, because Menards does not offer delivery for this product. It turns out that these used railroad ties are 200 lbs. each, not to mention the dimensions are 8.5 , they were listed at 8. I returned to the store with honest frustration because I felt that they misrepresented this product and cant do this project on my own. How do we make this right I asked? The store manager Chris told me that I could return them for a refund and did not offered any apology. It was hard enough to get them delivered, let alone find resources to return them to the store. What I learned from this experience is that I will never shop at Menards again because they were dishonest about their product, very unapologetic, and refused to help resolve this problem.

this place is horrible RE: customer service/delivery- I ordered 2 windows and 2 doors and paid $50 for delivery. I was told I would receive an E-mail once the completed order was in- I kept receiving e-mails saying that my order was in and to please pick it up!! I would call and explain that i paid for a delivery Then they would say that my completed order wasnt even in yet and was not very nice in their tone. They always seemed like I was bothering them. today I called and talked to LORI in delivery. I told her my frustration and asked if my order was in yet, and that the delivery dept said they would call me to set up the delivery time. She said " we dont call you, YOU have to call us to find out if your order is in and set up delivery time., we dont alert you. we would be on the phone ALL day!" this is what she said!! NEVER AGAIN DO I WALK THROUGH THOSE DOORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worst experience ever! Will NEVER go to another Menards. Went to buy a backyard fire pit "kit". No one knew how to ring it up....took 40 minutes to finally find a guy who knew how to do it. Then have to wait in line again to pay. Then instructed to drive around back to load it. No one is around in the back. My husband goes back into the store to find someone. Ends up that its not a "kit" at all. Its a self-pick, a la carte list. They guy walks my husband back and forth throughout the entire store finding all of the parts for this so called kit. They get to where the fire ring is supposed to be and they are out of stock!! No kidding, spent 2.5 hours in the store and then had to stand in line AGAIN to return it all!! NEVER going back! Drove to Lowes, bought their true "kit", loaded it car all in under 30 minutes.

Awful - just awful. Ordered kitchen cabinets, first batch last September was great. Cabinet staff great. Cashiers great. I ignored the fact that no other employee in the store would even great me when walking through the store. Now I ordered my second batch, went to pick them up. Their hilo driver dropped one of the cabinets and cracked it. They ordered a replacement but submitted it as a regular order - 4 week lead time! I had to call Schrock to expedite my replacement cabinet. Went last weekend to get some other items, went in to the plumbing section to get some parts. Did actually have a guy helping me for a couple of items but by the third he apparently had enough and walked away from me. I will never shop at this store again!

My husband went in on a Monday and placed a very large lumber order. The salesman assured us it would be delivered by the end of the week at the latest. We were instructed to wait for an email and when we received it we were to call for a delivery date. By Saturday we still had not heard so we called and sure enough it had been there for days and no one told us. Then they said they couldnt deliver it for another week. So my husband had to go rent a trailer and pick it up himself. He waited for a salesperson for well over an hour to get the order ready and return the delivery fee. We will NEVER use Menards for a big project or actually any project ever again!

What a great find-everything store. I thought it was gonna be like Home Depot or Lowes and it kinda is but they have so much more than lumber and building materials...food, clothing, automotive, electronics, gadgets, etc. I went in for construction adhesive. I left with that, hot sauce, soup, a screwdriver, car floor mats for the jeep, and a hoodie.

Customer service here is more then the best. Everyone from all different departments are very helpful, courteous, and seemed like they dont leave until theyre sure you have everything even if its a different department. Theyll walk with you inti that department and find the part them self and explain to you how it works. Good job guy, keep it up.

This store does not care about the very long delay in rebate process and act totally like it is not their business. They even refused to provide a phone number for another department within their own company, or try to contact someone to help find status. Worst experience ever in dealing with any local home improvement stores!

Great prices on top brand products. And edjucated employees that know their product lines. Helpfull, courteous,friendly, and mostly available to service the customer. They dont avoid the customer, they actually greet you with a smile and want to help you. I am beginning to wonder if they came from annother planet.

WARNING: if you buy lumber from any Menards expect about 30% to be warped or to warp badly a couple months down the road. Other than that most of Menards is excellent and a great way to save money but be careful some of their stuff breaks down pretty quick hence why some of their products are so cheap in value

Hardly any time I go there do I get an offer for assistance..I was there 45min..I was annoyed, couldnt find any thing so I left..20min in lowes..4 ppl asked if I needed assistance. I was asked in every department I went to. Got what I needed and left..taking a break from manards

store prices are great,store service reps are excellant,BUT NEVER EVER ORDER ANYTHING OFF LINE.THEY DONT HAVE A LIVE PERSON TO HELP YOU OR FIX ANY MISTAKES YOU SHOULD HAPPEN TO MAKE IN THE ORDER PROCESS.NOR DO THEY HAVE A LIVE PERSON TO HELP WITH ON LINE CANCELLATIONS

Menards has great prices and a great selection for everything you would need for home repair, or projects around the house or in the yard. It is very clean, and the employees are always very helpful.
