I always followed the rule that if I could not give a 5-star review, I should leave no review at all. Today I make an exception. Walking into this place with their “Summer Sale” going on, loud, deafening steel drum music playing was like walking into a bar in Key West where everyone was sober and sick and tired of the overly loud repetitive music. You could hardly concentrate. The employees I interacted with were in agreement as well. It should have been more subdued, only then would it have been acceptable. The atmosphere was not a party atmosphere; it created stress. The employees here are not attentive to details. Let me list a few. I applied for 0% interest from Toyota Motor; they applied to the following; (They did not apply for the 0% from Toyota until the following day.) • Chase Auto Finance • Ally Financial • Citizens One Bank • Huntington Bank Why are we applying to all of these banks when we asked for the Toyota 0% Interest deal? I am not sure, but I did receive an email hours later informing me that I had been accepted at the low rate of 2.89% with one of the banks above. I called, and no one returned a call for hours. Finally, Steve Sanker sent me a terse email explaining the interest rate accompanied by a link that says he is not destroying my credit. I am a LifeLock customer, my phone, texts, and emails were blowing up because of the lack of attention to what he should be doing from Steve. He only had to apply to Toyota, that’s it! When I went to pick up the car, it looked very nice, clean; it appeared to be clean as it should have been. After all, why should I expect anything less? I gave the car a cursory look, asked Anthony where the window sticker was; he immediately replied, “In the glove box” I took him at his word and moved on. It wasnt there when I looked for it that evening. After arriving home, I noticed the following; • The rear tailgate, when open was filthy, I pointed this out to Anthony when we initially looked at the vehicle, obviously it had been sitting under a tree for quite some time, he said he would make sure it was taken care of, it wasn’t. It’s not a deal killer but it shows the lack of attention across the board that I experienced here. • We had a hitch installed, very reasonably priced; they had it done for us. However, it appears that a lot of dirt was ground into the carpet before the floor mat is installed and nothing was done to correct this. • I asked for the wheel locks to be removed; they weren’t, I will do that myself. If you would like your over priced $353.00 wheel locks, come get them. It’s an 82 mile round trip for you. • When I went to sign the papers, the address was my home address, not my work address; I specifically sent an email regarding this before arriving to pick up the car. (Lack of attention to details) I was asked to sign an “Errors and Omission” agreement, basically stating that I would be willing to come back and resign any papers they deemed incorrect, I refused. It seems that they need something like this because their internal process is so sloppy. I also do not trust the finance person; he does not appear to pay attention to what he is doing, when questioned, he becomes very nasty. If you are going to charge me $200.00 for paperwork, it should be done properly. If you think you are going to finance a vehicle for me through a bank and I am going to return and resign papers at yours or someone else’s whim, you are wrong! I can clean my ill prepped car, remove the wheel locks and move on, but this is the second and last vehicle I will ever buy from this company. Julia Klida (She left you a one star review) nailed the attitude of their financing department on the head! In the end, I did not sign that paper, if your reading this, you don’t have to. They backed down on it, but Steves attitude prevailed. YOU can call ME to discuss this. All of my contact information is in your files.

Discrimination at its finest. If you are a young female stay far away from Szotts auto dealership. Steve Sanker, the financer, completely ruined my car buying experience. I made an appointment with Rick (the salesmen), and after test-driving the car, it was time to get the deal finished off. I walked into this purchase completely prepared; I had gone to my bank the morning of , got approved for the loan and my check for the down payment. Rick indicated to me that it was standard procedure for the financial manager (Steve) to come talk to me. Upon my very first interaction with Steve I was very put off. He did not introduce himself, and began barking commands at me. My bank told me the dealership would just need to fax the paperwork over but Steve insisted that I had to go to my bank and bring it to them personally. When I told him that I had the check for the down payment he aggressively said, “PROVE IT”. This was a calculated decision that I was well prepared for not some random day of car buying. Steve made it very aware he did not like me, personally. He made it very apparent that he did not feel the need to treat me with kindness or professionalism. I drove all the way back to my bank to get the check for the loan and on my way back called my salesmen making sure everything would be ready for me when I arrived back. I had already spent 4 hours at the dealership which was already hours longer then expected. However, when I got back it seemed to be taking a long time. Once again, Steve’s facial expression and his aggressive responses to any inquiry about what was happening with the transaction left me in disbelief. When asked what was going on, and how much longer it would be, he very aggressively stated, ”It will be done, when it is done.” I am still in shock that I was treated so poorly, simply for trying to purchase an automobile from Szott Toyota. I strongly suggest that Szott Toyota reconsider this employee. If I had not invested so much of my time I promise you I would of walked out. I went from excited, and sure about my purchase, to strongly considering backing out of the transaction because this employee has no comprehension of customer service, or decent human interaction. I know that he is going to give you plenty of reasons as to why it took so long. That is not the point, He did not communicate them to me. Never in my life have I ever felt this type of discrimination. A week later and I still regret giving this dealership my money.

Thanks Bob Morris, for the great experience, and wonderful 05 Prius!! ... I was in the market for a used car, something $10k or less. Many of the dealerships I went to tried talking me into something more expensive. "Youll get a lot more car for only another $4k, $5k... $8k..." Since they didnt want to listed to the fact that I was on a strict budget, I decided to look elsewhere. I came across Szott while looking through local online listings. Specifically, I found a Toyota Prius that fit my budget. I hadnt considered a hybrid, thinking that it would be out of my price range. After checking online reviews of the 05 Prius, and considering the single owner, and 61,500 miles, I was excited to check it out. I stopped in after work, close to closing time. Bob Morris met with me, and went out of his way to stay late, and make sure that I got in a test drive. An hour later, after a lap around the block, and some discussion with Bob, we came to an agreement on price and I had myself a car. No pressure mind you, just honest pros and cons, and compassion for my situation. He never tried to push me into anything higher price, or lead me in a direction I was reluctant to go. I told Bob that I had financing already, at 2.75%. He explained that he probably wouldnt be able to beat that, but he would give it a try. The next day I had a 2.5% rate thanks to Bobs help, and it was a very easy process going through the dealership. Bob even gave be a full breakdown of the work that had been done to the car between the trade-in from the original owner, and me taking the keys. And they did a great job! What a fantastic car buying experience! Its been a few months now, and Ive gone through more than a few tanks of gas on my commutes to and from work, etc. My best tank so far got me 53MPG! YEAH! Its only getting better as the weather warms up. Szott M-59 Toyota - Highly Recommended! And look for Bob Morris. He will definitely steer you in the right direction!
