My experience was terrible here. My 6 year old son was so excited the morning of Nov 11, 2016 for the adventure and father son experience we were going to have trying to get him the Nintendo Classic system. I was told on the phone the night before and in person while we waited in line that the tickets were one per person. My 6 y/o and I waited outside in line, in the cold, rain, windy weather for 2 hours. When they guy came out to give the tickets, he looked at my son and said "He doesnt get one, He doesnt count as a person". Then he proceeded to continue handing out tickets to people behind us. The whole crowd was yelling at this guy telling him how what he is doing is not right, and that this 6 y/o stood out in this line just like everyone else. It wasnt until a gentleman in line said the news and social media would love this that the man told us to hold on. He finally came out and with a very rude attitude handed my son a ticket. Well thank you for doing the right thing, but a little late now since my son was sobbing with tears rolling down his face. Thank you for taking a special moment, a memory which was suppose to be exciting and good and destroying it. Im disgusted how you view children as NOT PEOPLE, which were the words told to my sons and my face. Terrible, Best Buy you should be ashamed if this is the thinking you condone.

This place is usually very well stocked which is about the nicest thing I can say for this location. From most of my many personal experiences, I generally leave upset after coming here because most of the so called experts dont know crap when you do have a question and want help and when you dont and just want to shop in peace they will annoy the hell out of you relentlessly. And if you walk around with a high priced item they will treat you like your going to steal it and ask you over and over if you want them to take it up to register for you. Obviously I take full advantage of the upper hand and decline then I will walk around the store zig zagging back and forth all over the place as if I trying to steal it or Ill hover around the front door as if Im going to make a run for it. Yes thats childish I know but I hate being treated like Im white trash just because Im in my work clothes and they think I cant afford something costly. They also need to learn to respect their customers when they say no they dont need help and leave it at that instead of continuing on as if I didnt just say anything at all. I always try to avoid this location if I can.

Get your appliance delivery time in writing. We found out from experience that it is a shady network of promising the customer one thing with the intent from the beginning of loading the delivery crew up so much that they fail every single time. Missing work is not a good thing when youre waiting around for 8 hours on a delivery. Update: STILL no 10% back which is the promotion they were running. What a joke! When we went in to see what the status was we ordered 2 french presses. We didnt want the floor model, so we ordered 2 so that they could "ship them from their warehouse." Instead, we ended up with 2 banged up floor models shipped from 2 different stores. Way to keep on dissapointing "Best Buy". The response we received via email days after finally going to the store looking for resolution (after months of waiting) was that our reward was applied to my account as opposed to my wifes, which wouldnt be a problem except that as they are well aware that it was not showing up on either account. The people that work behind the scenes for this organization have no concept of resolution. That was the most useless email I have ever received!

This place is a total rip-off. We bought a computer monitor about a year ago that stopped working. I thought it was a great idea at the time to buy a warranty along with it. I dropped off the monitor around the beginning of December, and just now was called to pick it up today, February 11. I was told the monitor would be replaced with one of equal value, however, they decided equal value was much, much less that what I paid originally. After arguing pointlessly, I was stuck taking some no name monitor home. Itll probably break soon. Best Buy used to pride itself on customer service, but they obviously dont anymore. They will be the next firm to file bankruptcy. With policies like what I just mentioned, let alone their 15% restocking fee on returns, who would want to shop there? Take your business to Sams Club or Costco, where they truly care about their customers. Besides, those two are a lot cheaper than Best Buy anyways. Circuit City had many of the same policies as Best Buy, and look where that got them.

Today I had a very disappointing experience with BestBuy (Utica, MI) including the store manager Monica. I picked up a printer on July 6th that turned out to be defective. I brought it back today and was told I was ineligible to get credited for the purchase (but could get a store credit) because it was outside of the 15 day window. I called back after checking the date on the receipt from when I made the pickup and today is the 15th day. Instead of trying to resolve the situation in a professional manner the individual in question resorted to playing word games and was completely unhelpful leaving me with a very unsatisfactory experience. I will be sure to relate my experience to other individuals in my capacity as a business networking professional. In the meantime, there are many other vendors to choose from. Have a nice day!

Came here to buy a Samsung Smart Refrigerator. While I went to the Madison Heights Best Buy and see if they can price match it at a price that the fridge was before ($2499) now its ($2899) the rude manager at that Best Buy told me she cant do it and any other store wouldnt do it. I ended up calling this store (was actually here before to look at it) and got transferred to Trevor in the Appliance Department and asked him if he would still be able give us the price that it was before. He put me on hold and went to go speak with the manager. He came back telling me "No problem I can still get you the old price of $2499" I went straight from the Madison Heights store to this one! Couldnt be more happier! Went inside paid for it and walked out in less then 5 minutes.

I stopped in on 04-19-2012 to purchase a regular Kindle. Needed it for a gift the next day or I would have purchased it directly from Amazon. Took (conservatively) at least twenty minutes to get a free sales rep. A few people that were also waiting who wanted to purchase iPads left due to lack of service. After I got the Kindle the rep pointed out cases for it. The only 2 regular Kindle cases had opened boxes and didnt look like they were in good shape. He tried to get me to buy a Kindle Paper White case. Even called over another rep to verify that the case would fit. I had to physically show the two reps that the Kindle Paper White cases do not fit the regular Kindle on the display models. Reps need to be trained better.
