Oh what a haul on our first ever visit, when Markowitz European Meats on Michigan by Wyoming closed 2 years ago they say the only place to get there same quality meats be this place, yeah baby loaded up on many goods. Fresh n Smoked Polish Kielbasa, City Chicken, Smoked Pork Chops, 2 types Beef Jerky, 3 type Hunters Sausage and more. Since 1969 located on Joy just East of Telegraph walk into a classic old school Meat Market one of a very few left around town. Find them on Facebook and a brand new website. Thanks to the friendly owners and staff for the free samples. Just shopped Joyview and bought the homemade kielbasa and beef Jerkey. The store is just wonderful. They have all the products we bought at the old time butcher shop. They also had a beautiful selection of fresh meat and cheese. Plus they had wonderful fresh pierogis. My friend and I tried it all and found it to be made of very high quality ingredients with that old world favor. The butcher staff were most polite and patient and allowed us to try many products before purchasing. The best of the all that is good about the old world delicacies in a wonderful shop.

Experience was nice while ordering until checkout. I think I was pushed out of the store. The clerk said to me aggressively and quickly, "have a nice day". Could tell my kind was not really the customer that hed like to see shopping in the market. Im black. And proud of it! Its how God made me. People make the world go around, not just Caucasians.

This place is great and prices are good to they will answer any question you have and it does not matter what color you are you will always get good service for the ones that think color have anything to do with service at joy view your wrong there happens to be lots of black people in the area that love the service...

Its simple when my grandmother died she didnt pass on the recipe for her fresh kielbasa. And also when she just wanted kielbasa without the fuss of making hers. This is what she bought and cooked for us. Its become my standard. And even my adult children still love Joyview sausage. And the story that goes with it.

I asked the butcher to prepare a large quantity of sirloin steak for stroganoff to serve to my family. This is a recipe Ive been making for 40 years, but never has the family raved about it like they did this time!! The only difference was the meat - great quality and flavor! Thanks, Greg!!

This place is the best! They get you in and out quickly with great service. Best prices too and a lot fresher quality than the grocery store(s). Try the homemade sausages/brats. They call them stadium sausages.
