I used to really like going to the Marketplace store at least a couple of times a week, or maybe more. On each visit I probably spent at a minimum, 10 bucks, and most times 20-30 or so dollars on groceries and odds and ends. Then, one fateful day I had a purchase that was less than their "minimum" of 5 dollars for using a credit card, and the owners daughter refused to take my card.. She wanted cash. I think my total was $4.79 and the girl told me she was sorry, but I couldnt use the card. I dont usually carry cash, so I had to leave without purchasing anything, and not to mention being embarrassed in front of the other customers behind me in line. The dumb daughter doesnt work there often, so she was probably ignorant of the fact that I had (past tense) spent hundreds of dollars in her dads store every month.. On principle, I refuse to go there anymore. Its too bad that the owner has to lose my money every month because he didnt teach his daughter to respect his regular customers, but thats the way it goes. Id like to add that all the other employees were very nice and professional at all times, but because of his idiot daughter, Ill never go there again..

I use to go there all the time until I bought a 19 pound porterhouse. They weighed i then took it to the back to cut it while I paid. I got home and it didnt look like the same amount of meat so I weighed it myself on my food scale (wich I know is accurate because I always used it to weigh the ground beef I got from there before freezing). They ripped me off by shorting get me 7 pounds of steak. I was really annoyed, especially when I spoke with my mom about it a few weeks later and found out they did the exact same thing to her twice. They are crooked, dishonest, thieving jerks who rip people off and take advantage of people who work hard to feed their family. I will never go there again and I have stopped several of my family members and co-workers from going there as well.

Shopped here for years - always great prices, great quality. I also weigh my purchases at home and have NEVER found any inaccuracy. If you go there during their busy times you will wait - theres a reason they get insanely busy: great prices, great quality, duh! If you plan ahead and get there when they are slow (hint - M-Th before 4pm) the wait is minimal. The groceries are overpriced, but they are there for customer convenience, not thrifty shopping. Get the weekly email and stick to the meat, fish and deli and you will always get the best prices around. If you have a freezer, this is the place to fill it up.

Get there early or be prepared to wait a while! This place is amazing, great quality and variety of meats, almost always at the lowest price around. Their "prepared" foods (salads, sausages, etc) are always delicious and disappear from my house quickly. Their package deals are great, so keep an eye on their Facebook page and website for weekly specials! If your not sure how to prepare a kind of meat, they will always offer advice if you ask! And for the sake of everyone else, please have your list/order ready when your number is called, dont get to the counter then start deciding what to get!

We drive, 3 1/2 hours in the car, all the way from Rothbury, MI to get our meat here. The quality and the friendly service is of another place and time. So if you are looking for a neighborhood butcher, which by the way no longer exists, this will be your last stop for meat. We have even bought from a beef farmer, by the half cow, and it was not nearly the quality of meat that we got from Market Place Meats! And I promise, once you order from Market Place Meats, this will be the only place you get your meats from this day forward!

My family and I were looking for a good quality Cornbeef, when i say delicious, I mean delicious!!! As I was waiting patiently it was a little crowded but everyone was so friendly as we waited making conversation with new people it was really a good experience! Its my turn lol... the staff was very courteous they told me how to cook it and how long to cook it for, they even showed me how to cut it as well! Oh yeah ive cooked one before but not the way they explained lol.... Thanks so much Market Place Meats!

I was shocked to walk in to this place and find it completely packed. You have to take a number and wait to get served. Because of Christmas I think there were a lot of people in here buying standing rib roasts; I saw many go over the counter and they were beautiful. I bought two whole briskets for smoking and they looked awesome. Theyve pretty much got everything you need and prices are great, quality awesome. Worth the trip wherever you may be coming from.

Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Great every day low prices as well as sales fliers if you sign up for them through their website, facebook page or in store. I have recommended Market Place Meats to several people and everyone thats been has loved it! I dont buy meat anywhere else! Get there early, because they are incredibly busy later in the day but it is definitely always worth the wait!

Great products,great service. Loud music, what? Lets Rock this joint and hook up with some awesome grub. For you fools that are hatin on a place with a quality product and good employees,yall should stick with BK Lounge or McDonalds gourmet menu and leave the real food to people like me that appreciate a good meal. Great job Market Place,Ill be back soon for some more grub for dinner. Keep it up

I love market place meats. They blow krogers out of the water in pricing and have a huge selection. The staff is always friendly and I have never minded the wait! It is a meat market, some orders take time!!! I drive from clarkston out to market place meats!! I have been a loyal customer for 2 yrs and have not had one bad experience !!!

They have the best meat around. Friendly, helpful. Willing to assist if your not exactly sure how to make something. Butcher shop is usually very busy, but you can call ahead with your order and theyll have it ready when you go to pick it up. Try it and you will never go to another butcher shop. Love this place.

Ive been going here since I was a little girl with my dad. This place is the best! The meat is super fresh and high quality! I love the economy meat packages they offer as well, they are great deals! Going here tonight or sometime this week in fact to pick up some juicy steaks for Valentines Day Dinner!

Waiting an hour and twenty minutes to be served was just great. Having the gentleman who took care of me take another fifteen minutes to package three items from the same cooler was icing on the cake. And having the items turn out to be SPOILED was the coup de gras. But the staff was friendly!
