The mechanics working on the used car lot either are not competent enough to evaluation and diagnose basic wear problems or just arent motivated to fix what they find. I recently went shopping at Andrews Automotive hoping to drive off in my new car. Our first problem was that the salesman told us we could not take the car to a mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection. In any situation, if a car salesperson tells you an independent mechanic cant look at the vehicle before purchasing, that person is probably hiding something. Anyway, the salesman conceded that we could take the car to our mechanic if he came along. He went to get the car, but the battery was dead. The car drove nicely, although there was a slight growl. When the mechanic had it on the lift, we could see some problems with the rear bushings and front bearings. They needed to be replaced, but were not damaging the car. The transmission fluid was also brown, which is another one of those "always a problem" things. The mechanic told us that it was a good car, and that it would be fine once the repairs had been done. Altogether, repairs would have totaled about $1,500. We offered the asking price of the vehicle less that $1,500. The salesperson said no, but that their in-house mechanics could do the repairs. We also offered to pay full price and have the dealership pay the mechanic directly. No, all repairs had to be done at the dealership. The dealer had this car in need of $1,500 worth of necessary repairs on the lot available for sale. The people who put that car up for sale would have, without hesitation or remorse, sold a vehicle that was broken. Had their mechanics not noticed what was apparent even to me in my limited knowledge? Did they just not care? Either way, I walked away from a car that I really wanted.

My family has been going here forever until I had an issue with my car. I was practicing for drivers ed when all the sudden my car starred to leak antifreeze everywhere. We took it in and the next day they told us it was a blown head gasket. I was extremely upset bc that meant I had no car bc we didnt have money to pay for that. We took it to another shop on Pennsylvania that my friend recommended and it turns out it wasnt a head gasket, it was my intake gasket and few other minor issues. We have taken our other cars here in the past and guess what was "wrong" with our cars. THE HEAD GASKET!! We had to replace the head gasket on my moms impala. And also on our Aztec, TWICE. at first they told us it was the head gasket so we believed them.. we still had the same problem unfixed and so we had to take in it AGAIN. and behold it was the water pump. So we had to replace the gasket again.. bc they misdiagnosed the cars problem causing it to blowout the brand new head gasket. So we have taken our cars there and they have told us it was the head gasket 4 times... I dont think any car owners should have to replace that that many times? It makes me sick that our family struggles for money and they are here taking advantage of family that trusted them... Never ever will recommend this place to ANYONE!

A Huge "Thank you" to Larry and the techs in the service department! My car broke down on the way home(200 miles to go) We were referred here by a family member. The service and kindness this facility showed was top notch. Not being from the area or knowing the shop, we had to let them take care of us. They were very informative as to what needed to be done and were thorough with the diagnostics before they did any replacement of parts. They went above and beyond in my opinion working with the dealer there and at my home town.(the OEM part that went bad had just been replaced in November) to get the part covered under warranty. I would use them again if I lived in the area. Honest, great customer service and very fair on their prices My vehicle is home and runs great! Thanks again Andrews Automotive!

Pleasure doing business here! Bought my pre-owned Chevy here five years ago, and just returned for repairs after a minor collision. Everyone was friendly, pleasant, accommodating, and professional, from the front desk to the body shop. Everything was explained very clearly, the price seemed quite fair, the work was done in a timely manner, UNDER the price on the estimate, and I got my car back spotless, inside and out, and with new (badly needed, but not requested) windshield wiper blades! I will be telling all my friends!

Worked there two weeks shy of a year. Too bad Zach has WAY more of an effect on peoples barns than on used car prices.Zach attack on high prices huh. Zach attack on your barn and my job is more accurate.Eric seems to think he can control everything but he cant control his spoon fed kid. What a shame.

I gave the price a "good" review because as the customer, we always want a lower price on a purchase costing that much. :-) It was a very competitive price. Our time is important as well, so going from dealership to dealership was not a pleasant thought. I was happily surprised with this dealership.
