Save-a-Lot serves my purpose. I am glad it is close to my home because its a great store for picking up the odds and ends I need throughout the week. I dont do my major grocery shopping there for a couple reasons--lack of selection, mainly, and quality of produce. I DO think they have a very good meat department and their prices cant be beat. I shop there probably 1-3 times a week, usually to pick up something "last minute" for dinner or to purchase an ingredient or two that I dont have for something Im already preparing. I also think the store is clean and relatively well-maintained. And customer service is great. The employees are very friendly and helpful.

Its way cheaper than everywhere else but I realized when I got home why....I had opened a yogurt and it looked really old looked at the expiration date, 2 weeks old. I threw all the yogurt away I just bought and later on I give my daughter a pudding but when I stick the spoon in it, I noticed it wasnt pudding texture. That was old too, 2 MONTHS expired. I threw everything away in disgust.... 7 things expired I had bought that day!

Fast friendly and helpful service meat selection is great however Ive never seen a filet of beef roads are good chicken is good selection of everything is very very good other than the produce which I find kind of old and app to spoil more quickly I really cant say enough about the selection in the prices good all-around

Produce department needs attention. Cantaloupe on sale last week for 99cents and had 3 overripe beat up ones on display. Went back two days later and same three were there.They are on sale again this week so I will see if same three are there. Overall condition of produce is not good. FYI

Im giving this 4 stars primarily because of their meat department. The butchers are very friendly and accommodating, and will special cut for you if they possibly can. The prices are very good. And their pork is not injected with water and chemicals!

Good place to go locally to get what you need quick. Not usually packed here. They are friendly and convenient.
