Well I dont know about this store but the one in Acme never go to. I went just before Thanksgiving 2015 and they told me they are not set up to bill my Insurance yet so I will have to pay for this and send in a claim so I said that would be fine. I sent in my claim and I was denied. I called the Insurance company to ask why and they told me that they already turned in for the exam. The insurance company called them and they said we have to send back a check to me it was a mistake. Well 2 weeks later no check, so I called and they said it has to go through corporate should be a week. Call back on a Monday week later and they said no it does not have to go through corporate I will write out the check today and send it out. One week later I call and the same person told me no it does have to go through corporate he had to cancel his check because he cant just give back cash. Yes you read that right he had to cancel his check because he cant give back cash. I asked so I have been told over and over that the check is in the mail and it still has not been sent out "should be one more week". I think they are just trying to get me to back off and it will not happen they owe me the money and they will have to pay.

Firing for putting out the fire ??Bob Ingersoll This letter in the exact words , except for my name , has been sent to everybody.. Something I would expect to see from a huge corporation with a lawyer or CEO at the helm , but I dont think this would be the response if Fred Meijer was still running the show . I know I am not privileged to everything that happened that day of the fire , however , The thought process of getting the fire out would seem to over ride all of your rules . Had he not put the fire out and it soon spread to other cars or customers were hurt because the fire got out of hand , there surely would be some remorse by the company (or lawyers , CEO`s) and this firing would not have taken place , or at least in my opinion... If you rules are that strict , I think you should re-evaluate your positions.. Thank You For Your Time , Robert W. Ingersoll

I love Meijers, as a grand Rapids native I feel like its a bit of a responsibility to shop there. However Im about to never step foot into this store again. Its seriously competing to win the worst service award. The layout is asinine, theres never enough lanes open. the fast self scan lanes are always clogged with people trying to get adult beverages, and the attendant is always busy checking ids holding up everyone else. 2nd to last visit the cashier bagged my bread in three separate bags (despite being together on the belt) unfortunately she put a large laundry soap in with one, a 2 liter in with another, and can goods in with the third.... All on top of the bread. Average wait in line the past four visits 38 minutes. (tells you how bad it is that Ive started timing it). Bring back the next in line policy. Open up an alcoholic lane or at least a manned express lane, get a spotter to direct customers with alcohol out of the self scan isles.

I would say that I have been to at least 50 different Meijer stores, and this one is by far... the WORST! I was passing through on my way up north and thought it would be easier to buy groceries on the way - I was terribly wrong. The layout of this store is so bad, you will never want to go there. The natural places for things to be in a grocery store are turned upside down, you literally have to walk through every aisle, it seems, to fulfill a simple grocery list. What would have taken 20-30 min in a regular grocery store will likely take you well over an hour here. Second.... I waited in line for at least 15 minutes. They only had two lanes open unless you went through the self-check out. This is at 6pm. I guess they are trying to force everyone to use self check-out. I think that strategy might backfire. On the plus side, they did have falafil mix, which I would not expect stores to carry in Gaylord.

This store is great because this is convenient and closer to my house that and I really love their fresh produce and their prices the only inconvenience is sometimes the lines can get extremely long and theres usually only one or two checkout lanes open that have people on them. the rest is self scan and a lot of the elderly refuse to use the self scan and or if we have a large quantity of items in a cart it would take all day at a self scan it would be really nice if more employees were available to open up additional registers during high traffic times. I came here on a Tuesday night and waited 35 minutes that really felt like almost 2 hours LOL

I love shopping at Meijer. We live a little ways away so we go there about once a month. There are a few products they have there that we cant get anywhere else around us (specific groceries we like) so it feels like I can treat myself every few weeks. The staff is always friendly in my experience. Yesterday I noticed close to the entrance by the produce section there was a little basket with free fruit for parents to offer their children a healthy snack while shopping. My two year old daughter loves mandarin oranges so we grabbed one for her. I thought that was such a nice thing!

Used to love this store, still love the selection and the people. However, I never wait less than 20 minutes in line at a checkout. There are NEVER enough actual registers open. Ive seen Saturdays at noon, probably the busiest shopping time, they only have 4 registers open (not counting U-Scan). At least at Walmart when the lines are long the management jumps in and everyone seems to work together to get you out the door. Ive started doing all my shopping elsewhere and then getting only the minuscule things I can get at Meijer and getting the hell outta there.
