This place was a No Frills before they got bought out. I was optimistic about the change as No Frills were pretty terrible grocery stores regardless of location. However, nothing really changed outside of branding. Ive purchased food here on several occasions that had already been opened or had expired. A customer should never have to look for opened food, ever, as this is a basic requirement of any store worth frequenting. Actually its pretty insane that it happened at all, much less more than once. The store is very dated, looks old, sells food that may be inedible, and has lackluster service. The most recent time I was there (about a week ago) I needed to find a battery and was wondering around. I had no less than 4 employees walk by me without asking if I needed help finding something. The selection isnt bad, but when you cant trust what youre buying it doesnt matter. Theres literally no reason for me to recommend this grocery store. Theres a Bakers next door that, although being pretty bad for a Bakers, is infinitely better than this place. Theres also a Hy-Vee drugstore about a mile north on 30th St that Id recommend over this place. Family Fare needs to decide if its worth pouring money into this place to increase security and update its appearance or whether this place is destined to remain a hellhole and a blight. Right now, Id recommend to anyone that they not only avoid this store like the plague but that they also avoid Family Fare in general until they decide they dont want to be a bargain-basement grocery chain. This location is no better than the No Frills that it replaced, which was possibly the worse grocery store Ive ever been in.

I go here because it is close to my house and other stores that I shop. I know with the holidays they can be crowded and have a rush for the last minute dinner items. But, I do have to say that on 12-23-13, I received a quick responds that was friendly and helpful. I have been in this store at all times of the day and night and usually most of the cashiers act like they dont want to be there and management, when right there and witness the negative behavior from the store employees will turn and walk away. Or try to laugh it off like the person was joking. This stores needs an overhaul on all staff.

Aside from one cashier and one lady in customer service I have never gone to this store and received the friendly and exceptional service those other two people mentioned. The customers there are beyond rude, the management doesnt do anything, the lines are long, and no one knows where anything is. I go there and do price matching all the time and every single time it causes problems because they dont know how to do it. The only reason I still shop there is because I live like 2 blocks away and the Bakers across the street isnt much better. When I can I drive out of my way just to avoid this store.

There wasnt caught up I was trying to buy that was on clearance and had a coupon and they wouldnt let me use my coupon with the clearance item I was told nerd use my coupon I was going to have to pay full price I couldnt do both use a coupon and thats just not right so I dont like them very well

I have to say i got an attitude with a lady only trying to help me. Felt bad. 1% of the good customer service i get here was today.....a very frustrating day anyway. I apologized for being rude because they were so genuine and sweet. Ill go back....but id i dont see those 2 i might leave.

Nice new renovations! They generally have most of the food that I want - except some mexican or asian spices that I use a lot. I also wish that they had thick cut steaks here... That being said, this is a fine neighborhood grocery store. I always go here instead of Bakers.

This has to be the cleanest, friendliest and best selection of all the stores here in Omaha. We live in Fort Calhoun, and prefer to drive to No Frills on 30th Street rather than any other store. Joy
