I have lived in Dexter for over 20 years and Pollys used to be my go to grocery store. Over the past 2 years, however, they have gone downhill, particularly in the produce department. Their prices are competitive but the quality is horrible. I was looking for romaine lettuce about a month ago and what was in the produce section was brown and wilted. I had to track down a staff member to get some fresh heads put out. This has also happened with cilantro, parsley and green onions. They have started to pre-package items like green beans and broccoli so you cant see how fresh it is. Green beans have been soft and spotted on the bottom layer. Tonight the broccoli was wilted and bitter. This has happened to me repeatedly. Though they are by far more convenient, I will buy my produce from Meijer from now on.

We shop locally between Meijers, Buschs and Country Market. Meijers wins on produce, Buschs has a nice selection but is highly over priced. Country Market has the best prices and offers a great selection for being a smaller store. A much friendlier atmosphere also. Veronica runs a well kept, well stocked store and leads by example. Amazing deals every week !!!

When Im in Dexter I choose this over Buschs because theyre priced much better. I prefer the Chelsea Pollys Country Market a little better but overall this store in Dexter isnt bad at all. The deli also has Boars Head and Kretschmar meats and cheeses which I feel are very good. Good store.

Best grocery in town for regular shopping and quick stops. Nice selection. The competition has more pre-made meal selections, but the prices are much higher over there, too. Always get good service at Country Market. Prefer them over the big box (i.e., big hassle) grocery any day.

Good prices, fair selection. Most employees are awesome except Lisa M. Everytime she is rude, in a rush, and acts like customers are inconvenient for her. Last time while bagging she crushed my cereal box slamming it down in front of me. Very rude.

Kind of like a hallmark store, in that there are lots of little gift-like products you can get. I havent been there in a while, but my relative has found some nice decorations there.

For being a small store, Country Market has a wide selection of fresh foods. The people are always friendly and the prices are competitive. This is a wonderful little grocery store!
