Hidden Gem Meat Market A small hidden meat market in NE Dearborn operating for 8 years make the very best fresh cut of meats and spices placing them on metal skewers for a trip to the rear room to be placed on the open fire pit in the small dining area. The place only has 4 tables which always seem to be filled and many take out orders. The brick fire pit built into the wall has this amazing orders of meat and spices filling the dining area. They use my favorite Lump Charcoal which is real wood with no fillers unlike charcoal briquets. Slow roasted tomatoes and whole onions fill the left side of the grill that is given with each order. We both same this has to be the BEST flavorful Lamb Kafta, Shish Kebab and Chicken Shish Tawook ever since the flavor are fresh with amazing spices and the smoke from the charcoal. Tender, juicy a delight in each bite will be sure to get us back many more times. Our meal for 2 was only $ 20 for 6 skewers of meat, roasted tomatoes, onions, fresh pita bread, Tabouli,Baba Ganoush , Hummus and 2 sodas. WOW what a deal, yes we tipped the cook who works really hard to make you fell right at home as all do here. Remember be prepared to wait for seat for the most unique dining experience around Detroit or just get it to go,

I think that based on the 5 stars on yelp, my expectations were very high for this place and were not quite met. The meat was good and its so awesome how its fresh and they cook in front of you over coals. And its nice how you get grilled veggies. However, they dont have many sides and the sides they do have are not very good. The tabbouli didnt even have bulgar in it and it didnt taste like it had lemon in it. Perhaps, what I thought was tabbouli was something else though. Furthermore, they charged for pita bread and didnt tell us. I just assumed it was free. The cook was nice but everyone else was on the rude side in my opinion. I also wanted to order kafta cooked in pita bread like I saw online but they wouldnt let me. Not really holding this against them, but it was really annoying. Also heads up: eat fast because they dont have much room and will rush you out, which is understandable but mildly annoying. Also, if youre in west Dearborn, check out the butchers grill. Its basically the same with nice workers and more room but a little more expensive.

Was in there earlier today and had the best food experience Ive had in a long time the meat was tender and medium cooked exactly how I asked for it and the kefta was the best Ive had. Ive tried many copy cat places but nothing even comes close to this place, these guys have been in business for years and have the best customer service around. The owner is funny and friendly and makes u feel right at home everytime. Cozy setting makes me feel like im in my backyard cooking with my family. Original is always best.

The workers are very rude. wait time is too long. There very nonfunctional and always screaming at each other. Actually i wasnt kicked out, you got the wrong guy. I ordered pick up an hour in advance. Then after i came i had to wait another hour. I had a seat and i was asked to get off my seat by an employee so he can sit down .And i wasnt being rude i didnt speak to anyone at all. So i picked up my food and said bye. Never coming back.

Definitely in my top 2-3 favorite lunch spots in the Detroit area. First, the kabobs are second to none. The Kafta, Beef, Chicken , and Beef Hearts are my favorite. I also order hummus, and it is amazing. Second only to my Sitis. Their garlic sauce is excellent. If you like hot peppers, you can request grilled jalapeños with your dish free of charge. Gets busy, but it is worth a wait. Pro Tip: The fresh pita is all you can eat.

If youre looking for a nice setting with a top class server, youre at the wrong place. If youre looking for the best charcoal grillman with the best cuts meats and devour some comfort food, youre at the right place. This place is a takeout oriented place so dont be disappointed when you see the seating. But like I said, the cuts of meat, the raw meat dish, the salad, all of it, was phenomenal. Definitely coming here again.

I was there earlier today, food was amazing, and service was even better. There was a disrespectful punk while I was in there, and I did see he left a review, and thats why I chose to leave one as well. Very rude customer, and didnt deserve to eat. This family owned and ran place is my favorite restaurant to eat at. Owners are super friendly. I am there at least once a week, its worth it everytime.

The food really is excellent. The staff is very friendly. Of course its not a fancy place by any means but the food and service make up for that for sure. Shish Tawook seasoning is the best anywhere. Priced by the skewer at a very fair price. They know exactly how to cook it so even chicken breast isnt dried out like other places. Keep up the great work!

Absolutely great food! The menu is simple, the prices are incredible and the taste is unsurpassed! The owner and his staff are incredibly welcoming people, they care about their food and they want you to feel at home! The place is small and you may have to wait, but it is absolutely worth it! You will not regret eating here and you will be back!

I never ever had anyone in my entire life to ask me to leave the food table because another customer has arrived. This guys comes in a very disrespected way telling us yalla shabab lets go. He took the leftovers, which we wanted to take home, and threw it. Ridiculous and disgusting.

Trademark of Dearborn. Must-go place. Very homey feeling; not a five star environment-- but it just feels like a "back home" place. Everyday after a hard days work, we go here and order the best meat and hummus money can buy. Staff is very friendly. Definitely a must in my opinion.

I cant get enough of this place. I come here everyday for lunch. Highly recommend this to anyone who eats food. Anyone who dares leave a negative review is either mentally ill or they are a vegetarian and couldnt stand the Sight of their buddies eating such amazing food.

I go here for lunch all the time, there is no place that compares to the meat market in Dearborn for delicious middle Eastern food. We recently had the Dearborn meat market cater for our superbowl party and everyone absolutely loved the food. Id give them 6/5 if I could

I started going to Dearborn Meat Market when they first started offering in house grilled meats and vegetables. I have to say its my favorite go to option when I want a good meal. Its cozy, the staff are generous, and its an overall great experience.
