A few years ago my Aunt gave me an old ring just a few days before she passed away. Needless to say, this ring has so much sentimental value to me. Being that the ring is an antique the metal wasnt as strong as it used to be. I took the ring to them to have it fixed (although it wasnt broken, just preventative maintenance) and the guy told me that it "wasnt worth anything" I said I was aware it didnt have much cash value, but that wasnt the point. I left it with them to be fixed, and less than a month later it broke! When it wasnt even broken in the first place. I took it back to inform them of this. They took it in the back to look at it, then they brought it back to me to TWO PIECES!! It was never broken like this. They tried to hide the fact that they had broken it by putting it in a bag before I could see it. I noticed this in the parking lot, so I went back in. The lady LIED TO MY FACE, and said she had told me it was broken, which they never did. And still charged me almost $100 to have it fixed, or should I say, to have it broken!! Even with me in tears over the heartbreak of this ring, they did not care. I went to Colt Jewelers down the road, and they were angels. I WILL NEVER GO TO FAO AGAIN!!! Heartless and inconsiderate people. If you want your jewelry handled with care, DONT BRING IT HERE!!!!!!

I just had to write a review about FAO Jewelers and the Wonderful Customer Service I received. Recently I decided to have a ring restyled and took a picture in. Previously I had taken my engagement ring in to add two larger stones and it turned out perfectly. They said the ring could be remade according to the picture. It turned out FABULOUSLY. It is exactly what I wanted and the work is gorgeous. The staff, and owner John, are wonderful, honest people. Talene was my Sales Rep and she has been superb! After having a bad experience at another retailer in town, I was a bit nervous about leaving my engagement ring, but Talene assured me of their spotless reputation. I am a "customer for life" now. This is a wonderful Jeweler where you feel like family when you walk in. Thank you to John and the whole staff for my exquisite ring! Dawn Murray

I had a few special projects saved up that were not what you would call "run of the mill" and needed an above average a level of knowledge and expertise. After visiting other area jewelers Id become quite a bit discouraged about my prospects. I am so glad I stopped into F.A.O. because it didnt take long to realize Id come to the right place. They were not only superior in their knowledge and expertise but also their problem solving skills and willingness to help. If you just need to buy a off the shelf ring and dont plan on ever returning, maybe it doesnt matter where you shop. On the other hand, if youre looking for real expertise, you absolutely have to visit here.

I have been in search of a new wedding ring for my 10 year anniversary. I didnt want the typical out of the box ring that I see everywhere. I wanted something very Classic/antique looking, but I just could not find that perfect ring. I found a picture of a ring I loved. I brought picture to John to see what he could do. He was able to have a ring designed according to the picture and incorporate my current diamonds. He was in constant contact with me the entire time. The ring turned out absolutely GORGEOUS, even better than I had imagined. F.A.O is extremely knowledgeable and also very personable. I would recommend them to anyone, and I have! Thank you John!!!

I was planning to buy my daughter a Pandora bracelet for her birthday, I was suppose be back from my business trip two days before her birthday but had to stay longer. I called FAO Jewelers and spoke with Lisa one of the owners, she spent the next hour and half sending me text pictures of bracelets and charms. Once I picked out what I wanted Lisa wrapped it and sent it out next day air with a birthday card. My daughter was so happy with her new bracelet. The customer service Lisa provided to me and my family went way above anything I have ever experienced. I would recommend FAO Jewelers for all your jewelry needs.

I have now ordered 3 rings from John at FAO, two of which were completely custom. The entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. Normally you sacrifice service or quality when you try to price shop, but not here. Their prices are fair, and they beat the competition in service. I had almost bought a generic ring from a competitor and was told to give FAO a shot first. John was able to make my wife a custom ring, with a higher quality diamond, at a more competitive price. My family has been working with John for a number of years and I will continue to work with them for all future orders!

John and his staff were extremely helpful in helping me find an engagement ring for my fiance. I never felt pressured into buying anything and I had full control of buying only something that I really loved. They made sure I understood all the factors of the materials involved in the ring along with all the characteristics of the diamond that I should be aware of. My wife absolutely loves the ring now and we went back to order her wedding band along with a band for me. The service we received was more than expected while shopping for jewelry and we will definitely be back in the future.

I wanted to get my wife a matching wedding band for her to wear on the other side of her engagement ring for our 10 year anniversary. Upon researching local jewelers, I was most impressed with FAO and hired them to make a "custom", identical wedding band for my wife. The ring was completed ahead of schedule and, aside from the inscription inside the band, you cannot tell the two rings apart. Their service and follow up where fantastic. This was not my first time purchasing from FAO, but certainly my largest investment with them to date, and I will continue to be a return customer!

Ive been to FAO several times and have had excellent service and treatment every time. John runs an amazing business in Brighton! His best sales rep, Taline is an All Star there, extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and professional. Brighton has quite a few jewelry stores, but there is no need to go anywhere else but FAO!!
