I went with a friend who is a member. I had an intent of becoming a member. Went to the cafeteria inside the store to buy soft drinks and was addressed as "honey/dear" by the lady completing my purchase, Mary J. Even when I explained to her that the proper form of address would be mam or miss, she just switched from "honey/dear" to "hun" 10min wait, broken pop machine, no ice... I am very understanding and all that stuff would not have prevented me from purchasing a membership. "Hun,honey,dear" - thats what made me decide not to purchase a membership as we were obviously starting on a wrong foot.

Same mess as everywhere else and cheaper prices. A bit of a hassle if thats all you need, but usually have other things to buy at Costco
