The Pet Emporium has a nice selection of good quality products for pets. However I wish that their staff was more educated about the products they carry and were more helpful. I have been in several times looking to buy food and other supplies for my dogs, and the same girl was working every time (except one weekday when they were stocking). Shes pretty friendly, however she doesnt seem to know a lot about the products they carry and isnt very helpful unless you know exactly what youre looking for. I have walked out more than once feeling like my questions werent answered adequately. I have been to many boutiques around the country, and this is probably my least favorite. From now on I will be going to Wags to Wiskers on Stadium Street, whos staff members are quite knowledgeable and very helpful.

We started coming to the Pet Emporium about 4 years ago (maybe more) after the previous local pet supply place wed frequented for years really lost their touch and service went down the tubes. Pet Emporiums got everything we need for our cats and dog, the staff really know their products and are very helpful to everyone who comes in. I dont know how their prices compare to other stores like Petco or PetSmart, but supporting local stores like this one is worth whatever price difference there may be, and you also get a frequent buyer card that nets you money off when you buy a certain dollar amount of product. Were long-term and happy customers, would definitely recommend Pet Emporium to others.

Best pet supplies store ever. Imagine Best Buy, but exactly the opposite. The super chill employees have a really strong understanding of everything they have in the store, and are super willing to help. Theyre really passionate about keeping pets healthy, and they carry very high quality food, most of which seems to be made only in Canada and the US. Im really glad to support this family-owned business.

I have only been here a few times, but each time Ive had a fantastic experience! Each employee has really taken the time to help me find what I needed. Last time I was there I was helped by Sarah (Sara?). She spent so much time with me answering ALL of my questions and even provided me with some new food samples. I would go back again just to shop with her!

We went here when we wanted to start buying more nutritious cat food. The people were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they also carried many of the highly recommended brands that we were looking for. They also gave us some free samples of dry food! I plan to continue buying my pet supplies here as long as they are around!

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! Kitty cats walking around sometimes (Im generally pretty allergic, but they never seem to bother me somehow). You can buy crickets here, too, fyi. Piggy (guinea pig) food--Oxbow actually--has rewards program. Theres also a general merchandise stamp program--spend $20 per stamp.

Excellent pet store with a very good selection of high quality foods, toys and treats. Very good prices and excellent service-much better than any other local pet store. They even have a loyalty program that is very convenient and adds up to great savings, esp when purchasing food. High recommend!

This place has great service, along with everything Ive needed for my cat, including some great vet recommendations. The store is orderly, and their selection of food is expansive, and includes numerous healthy brands. They also have two very friendly store cats who love attention.

The Pet Emporium is a great small business in Ann Arbor. They offer many great pet food brands that cant be found at other chain pet stores (Weruva, Primal, etc.). They also have two cats that live in the store, which gives the places a homey feel.

My dog loves the treats I get from the Pet Emporium. The staff are extremely helpful and will gladly special order any food / treats that may not be in stock. Also. University of Michigan members get a discount with their M-cards.

Staff has a lot of knowledge and experience when it comes to different varieties of foods. Very helpful, polite, the store is customer friendly, and Leo and Zoe are the most adorable thing youll ever see!

Its fine for dogs and cats but they claim to have bird and small animal supplies, which they barely have. All they have is treats on a 2 foot wide shelf. If youve got small pets dont bother coming.
