We shopped for four major appliances (LG Washer and Dryer, Samsung Black Stainless Steel range and refrigerator) in local stores and finally bought all at Best Buy on Lohr road in Ann Arbor, MI on two different purchases within a month. The appliance dept staff was very knowledgeable and educated us a lot on various models and brands without putting undue pressure on us to make any purchase at all. They spent a lot of time with me with a lot of patience, actually for the fridge and range, I went there several times within a weeks time, and every time they welcomed me with a smile, spent as much time with me looking at different models as I needed without complaining, and answered all my questions to my satisfaction, Melody and Tina, the two staff members I was working with actually took notes of what I was saying about different brand/models, did online searching for good prices for me and matched them (with the ones they are allowed to match). Their supervisor Ben was also caring and along with Tina and Melody, made sure I was comfortable with my selections. If it was not for the super knowledgeable , and friendly yet professional staff of the appliance dept there, we would have made these purchases somewhere else. The washer and dryer have been installed and working very well. The delivery for the fridge and the range is scheduled next week so cant comment on that right now,. Lets see how that goes, but the actual purchase experience was awesome. I cannot say enough good things about the Ann Arbor Best buy store. Best buy did not ask me to write any review online but I feel it is important to recognize a job well done (or a bad one) through reviews.

I cant tell enough people to stay away from Best Buy! I purchased a new washer and an open box dryer from there and delivery was supposed to happen on Friday, 3/27. The installers showed up with just the washer and had no idea about the dryer. I called the store and they never even shipped it out. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt and picked it up myself that evening since it was going to take three days to get it delivered. The installers then came out the following day and informed me that the electrical socket was for a range and not a dryer (I rent the house I live in so I had no clue). After calling an electrician to get the right one installed they came back (now Friday 4/3) to put the dryer in. There was a terminal on the back that wasnt attached and the installers said it would catch everything on fire if they hooked it up. Angry, I called the store and they offered to replace the unit with a new one, I agreed. Now this morning they came to swap the units. I go to do the test run like the installer said and the dryer wont run. Power is connected and turns on, but no dry cycle. I call Samsung to troubleshoot and they say its hooked up wrong. The installers come back out and recheck everything to tell me that the start button is faulty. At this point Im furious (as anyone would be), and Best Buy refuses to remedy the issue today! I told them to return it all and they said theyd have to schedule ANOTHER appointment to pick it up!!! Ive never had such a hassle with a product and company in my life. I will not be spending another penny at a Best Buy.

This Best Buy is a racist piece of garbage. I went to this place and spent over $2200 and instead of being treated like a customer I was treated like a criminal. I have a friend that works at this Best Buy so when I arrived I asked if they could locate him for me. They did but he stated that because he was a supervisor he could not sell on the floor and instead gave me to another awesome employee. They guy I was working with was a big help and we spend about 90 minutes together considering how much money I was spending. Throughout the process I was surrounded my managers multiple times who kept asking us what was going on and if we were good. After saying yes so many times I realized something was going on and I was right. My friend let me know he was immediately called into the office and questioned repeatedly about me. The GM did not believe I bought my products legally and felt like my friend had something to do with it. He also felt like I spent too much time with the sales associate and that was a red flag for him apparently. Um I dont know about you guys but I dont spend that much money on a whim, I had questions!!! AND A RECEIPT!!! None of that matters though

Consistently excellent service, very knowledge staff who have expertise in many different areas, but readily acknowledge when they dont know the answer and then find someone who does. Also, if they believe that a less expensive item than the one we have been considering will meet our needs, they will let us know that and will recommend that item over the more expensive one if appropriate. Their service plans and extended warranties are excellent, eg, a battery crashed on a Canon camera I had purchased from them, and they found it could not be repaired, so replaced it with a brand new camera that was one step up, at no cost to me. We have also had excellent experiences with their Geek Squad agents, both in our home as they set up our network( with such proficiency that they completed the work in less than the estimated time->less cost to us) and in the store. Selection of merchandise is extensive, but what really makes this store exceptional is its staff. We will continue to purchase all of our computer hardware, software and appliances through them for that reason, and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I purchased a new laptop at Best Buy when my computer crashed. They said they would do a data transfer and set up my new machine, claiming it would be ready the next day. It took five days to get my machine back. Every time I called, I got no answer from the Geek Squad or was told someone would call me back. No one ever did, and I showed up at the store five days in a row. Then, at the end, I find out they couldnt even set up my computer. They told me I should try contacting another IT person and wished me luck. The whole experience has been terrible. I would never use them again. The only positive was that people at the store were friendly. They couldnt help at all, and no one had any information, but they were very kind.

Horrible service. I spent the whole morning going back and forth to the store for a bad harddrive. I didnt have my receipt, all i wanted to do was exchange the bad product for another hard drive that worked. The first person told me to come back with the card i purchased hard drive with so i did. Then the second trip they couldnt find the purchase. Around the fourth trip when I had everything i needed they then told me it was past 15 day return policy and I couldnt return the product. I will never shop here again. The customer service is horrible and lousy. I wasted the whole morning and go nowhere with the store. Best buy is what is bad with greedy money hungry corporations
