I have had bad experiences at bike shops in the past - this place restored my faith in the "lbs" (local bike shop) experience! I called up the owner asking for a minor adjustment to my bike before a Ironman triathlon. I wanted my bike to be fully tuned for the race. I had been to my bike shop in Peabody for a fitting a few months previous when i purchased the bike. The tune-up I got from CK Bikes made me feel like I was riding on a cloud! It was the most amazing experience. I took my bike north to my Ironman and had the best ride of my life. I am so glad I trusted CK Bikes with my tune-up. They were incredibly nice and supportive and the care they took with my bike was evident. They even took time to explain the changes they made and how it would affect me ride and encouraged me to test ride before leaving the shop. I will be going to them for my lbs needs in the future - and recommending them to everyone I know!

This is by far the best shop I have done business with in the metro-west area (compare to Landrys, Belmont Wheelworks, PedalPower, etc.). I went to CK Bikes (and other stores listed) and requested any time of donation to contribute to my charity ride across the U.S. Most stores provided me with a $20 gift card or something not the most helpful. CK Bikes, on the other hand, assembled my bike, provided a bike fit, showed me how to change a flat, and much more for next to nothing! The owner truly cares about your needs and is not going to tell you to purchase needless things. Rather, he just wants to help you enjoy your time biking and is more than happy to show you how to fix your bike! Whether its just to go into to talk about bikes, pump your tires, fix your bike, or buy some spare parts I cannot recommend this place more than enough! The location is also perfect!!

I dropped off my bike Friday around lunchtime (it was boxed up since I had it FedExd up here), and picked it up the next day in the morning. I had asked that Craig assemble the bike and give it a tuneup. Not only did he assemble it incredibly fast, but he also fixed my rear derailleur free of charge (somehow my rear derailleur got bent by the folks at the bike shop when they disassembled and packed my bike back in FL). The price he charged me for assembling the bike, tuning it up, and fixing my derailleur was so good, it was $50 cheaper than another bike shop around here wanted to charge me (and maybe they would have charged me extra for the derailleur, but who knows). Craig is the man, he not only earned me as a customer, but my whole family, as well (when they heard about it they said they would take their bikes to him from now on, too).

My derailleur cable broke on the way to Harvard today. Fortunately CK was open and had the cable I needed. [Being stuck in my hardest gear climbing up to Harvard Center is not much fun.] They let me borrow the tools I needed to make the repair myself. When I went to pay I realized I didnt have any money with me and they happily agreed to let me pay the next time I was in Harvard (which is often). Ive been riding through Harvard for years and am so glad theres now a bike shop in the center. It was my first time visiting CK bikes and Id be happy to use them again (once I pay for the cable)! Both CK and the general store above go out of their way to cater to cyclists making Harvard Center a really special place to visit. Great shops like this help make a tight-knit community- so visit them often for your bike needs.

Outstanding service. Great location. Best customer service by far. Ive been to just about every bike shop in our area. Cant say one delivered service better than the others, until we met Craig. Last year, we had a few tune ups and minor repairs and took the bikes to Craig. I appreciated that he didnt just "fix" the bikes he also taught me how to avoid the same issues. This year we decided to outfit the family with road bikes and, based on our experience last year, we went to CK Bikes. Craig took the time to fit each one of my family members with the right bike - rather than just moving product. Great location - we could try out the bikes and not worry about traffic. Sincerely thrilled with the experience and the product. Wont go anywhere else!

Craig is the best. I brought in my road before riding the PMC and it was perfect for the entire 192 mile ride. It actually rode better than when I bought it. Because of the positive experience I had with service on my road bike, I purchased my new mountain bike through Craig. Definitely the right choice. That amazing service has carried through. Im having an absolute blast on my new bike and Craig has been there every step of the way addressing any concerns I have, making adjustments and generally being awesome. I HIGHLY recommend CK Bikes for all your biking needs whether its a new bike (he reps KHS), a new used bike or service on your existing wheels. You cant do better.

Just got back from a ride today when I had a slow leak. Stopped at the Harvard store to get some soda. As I was about to leave and race the slow leak home, while hand pumping every once and a while, a nice man that works at CK Bikes said he had a floor pump I could borrow. I was thrilled and changed the tube, but pinched my new tube. I only had $3 on me and asked if he had some packing tape or a patch I could use. He gave me a new tube instead and wouldnt take my $3. Great guy! Kindness like that seems quite rare these days. Im happy I discovered this shop, I will definitely be back to spend some money in the future.

I went to this store yesterday after seeing 35+ 5-star reviews. Craig is truly awesome. A very friendly and competent bike enthusiast. He was very patient with us, helped me choose a bike for my wife and myself....all the while giving us tips on bike maintenance etc. While we were there we also noticed his desire to help local charitable causes etc. It was a pleasure to have met him and im sure we will keep going there. HIGHLY recommended. Look no further. You will know that Craig wants to help you more than anything else.

Today was my first visit to CK Bikes and it definitely wont be my last. I snapped my derailleur cable on my ride this morning and was looking for a quick, local fix. I called Craig and he assured me he could take care of my bike today. So I swung by and figured Id have to drop it off - no, Craig insisted he could fix it right on the spot. Twenty minutes later, he changed out both my derailleur cables and fixed a brake issue I hadnt even noticed. Totally impressed! I would definitely return to Craigs shop for service.

Great service!!!! :) ...I went to a different bike shop a year ago and they couldnt fix my bikes brakes that were only 2 yrs old and instead tried to sell me a more expensive bike...however, this bike shop...BEST SERVICE EVER! I highly recommend going to CKs; he not only was able to fix my extremely loud brakes, but he also test road the bike to make sure it worked properly! He is so helpful and so honest! As a serious bike rider, I am so happy to have a silent working bike!! Thank you CKs!
