I was looking for a high end all mountain/enduro style mountain bike. I had been a long time customer of a another bike shop in Vernon and Middletown for over 15 years. The other store, in all 3 of their locations really didnt have anything close to what I wanted to look at, not in size or model (Trek Remedy 9.8 29er, 17.5" frame). Bicycles East had in stock, the Remedy 9 and a Trek Fit Bike. Deb, Steve and Nate are the people that I dealt with and I cant say enough positive about my entire experience, the fitting, the ordering, and the build and pickup of my new bike was just excellent. I now have 5 rides in on my new bike and am loving it more each ride. Steve spent tons of time with me before ordering for a good fit, and over an hour with me when I picked it up. Awesome shop, they now have a new long term customer!

Im a new cyclist and brought in an older bike for servicing. The service staff was knowledgeable, efficient and helpful, taking the time to show me different options for new parts I wanted and getting my appointment processed quickly. They were honest and straightforward, and didnt try to sell me things the bike didnt need. As for the sales or floor staff, I found them to be friendly and ready to answer any questions I may have had. The store itself has a large inventory of bikes, accessories, apparel...you name it. And everything is very well staged, organized, and tidy. Its clear that Bicycles Easts owners and staff really care for and take pride in their store and the services they provide. Bicycles East will definitely be my local bike shop of choice.

Biking is too technical a sport to buy online, go here and let experts help fit the bike to you! My wife and I have gotten into Mountain biking, and her bike is terrible. We decided we have to start looking for a new bike, and the staff at Bicycles East were amazingly helpful. She is tall, and fitting a bike to her was important. The staff very patiently talked us through the different aspects of the bikes, and then helped customize a bike specifically to her so that riding it would be comfortable for hours on end. The attention they paid to us was surprising, and we are certain to do business with them in the future. If you want to enjoy your ride, go here!

This is almost like two bike shops in one. Owned by a husband/wife team, Deb mostly takes care of the front of the store, and is very friendly and helpful. When you walk in you might feel like this is a mom and pop shop, but also a shop with a nice selection of items. In the back however is her husband Steve, who is more like a mad scientist (thats a compliment) and a certified bike fit master of the highest order. This man seriously knows bikes, and bike fit. Just one look at his set-up, and diplomas on the wall from various mechanic schools, or a short conversation with him, will let you know this man really knows what hes doing.

I was a summer intern living in the area without a car, and the only way I could commute to work was my road bike. I needed a major repair on my bike, and asked the folks at Bicycles East if they could get my repair done day of (I called in advance). Sure enough, they were extremely sympathetic to my situation, and they wound up repairing my bike day of, in less than two hours. I even got to ride home with it. Their customer service is superb, and I am really grateful for the help they gave me.

Cant say enough good things about the owners of the shop. Steve helped me select a new seat for my old bike. He had me sit on something to see where the pressure was. He put a new seat on, looked at me on it, he measured, had me get off the bike, adjusted. Watched me ride, adjusted again. I have never had this kind of service before, esp. having not bought a bike, no pressure to do so. Ill be back.

Nothing bad to say. Id been out of the BMX scene for two decades, and needed to dive back in to ride with my kids. I brought my newest sled in for some custom work. Steve hooked me up, and didnt scoff at my 20 years-out of date expertise. They also sent a kid to chase me down in the parking lot with some chain grease Id forgotten. This is where Im coming for all future bike needs.

Had a great bike fit experience with Steve at Bicycles East. It was my first bike fit, so I wasnt sure what to expect or if it would even be helpful. But Steve did a great job! Steve and Deb are not only true professionals, as the proprietors they truly pay attention and give personalized service. Their decisions are based on their possession of the facts and real biking knowledge. Theyre the best bike shop around. Bought bikes there and even have them servicing my Stromer electric bike - good guys, trustem.

I had a fit done with Steve last Sept. He did a great job! He spent hours with me getting it perfect. After, he emailed me all the videos and measurements. My bike hasnt felt better! These guys work hard 7 days a week and will give you the time needed. I highly recommend Bicycles East and supporting a local Glastonbury business.
