Stopped here a few times in the past or so to get a rc car for me and my son.when this place was in mansfield.recently i went in a decided to do a little price matching online while i looked around the new shop to possibly buy a new car.i asked a young man there if they priced matched he said they only price match thru horizon hobby and tower hobby. If i knew this sooner i would have asked for a price match on mine and my sons MIP kit. Which is for sale on tower for 46$ and not the 75$ that i paid twice for. Very dishonest and highly over priced in most of the store. I wonder how many people they have done this to and got away with it? Lesson learned. Be sure to ask for a price match on everything you buy in here. Including batteries. Im never coming back here and im going to another local shop and letting people know what they are doing. I have also heard this from a few other people that no longer shop at the new location. Very bad service. Maybe ill just shop online since the prices are more honest whats a 3 day wait on parts?

Unless you have a rc helicopter, dont bother wasting your time. These guys sell & service cars / trucks & boats, but their passion is helicopters. If you walk in the door with a rc car, youll get 2nd rate service. I brought them my HoBao Hyper 7 TQ Black w/ 9-port engine, to be serviced after I stripped the servo. They charged me over $100 for a new one + labor. Then when it broke a month later, come to find they installed a crappy replacement servo that had no business being in such a powerful car. Thanks, guys. Ive been there 5 or 6 times and always felt like I was bothering them. Geeze, sorry I dont have a helicopter. Youve lost a customer. I discovered Wicked RC in Framingham yesterday and was blown away at the attention & professional advice Gus gave me. I have a good amount of discretionary income and will now be spending it there.

I recently visited Hobby Quarters in Foxboro Ma to purchases a gift for my husbands birthday. My first impression was they had plenty to offer and the prices seemed decent.I was mostly interested in a Hellicopter .I browsed around the store looking for help and came across 2 pleasent employees and they both agreed they would help me if I could just wait a few minutes to finish there present task.A few minutes turned to 15 and still no help.I took a few pictures of Hellicopters I might be interested in and did a search on line to fine the store was well over priced. If I have gotten the assistance I needed I may of never looked elsewhere. My advise is to look ahead and decided what you want before you go to Hobby Quarters because you may not get the assistance like I needed. Store was clean and very organized.

So Im establishing a new drone company in the area and I went to these guys twice to try to have them put together a drone for me. After describing what Im after in detail the first time, I never heard from them. After the second time I went in and had to redescribe everything, I experienced poor service, a negative attitude by the owner, and again havent heard back from them. Well they are officially never getting another chance. I went to Chris Williams of Cloud City, where we are working together to get my special project completed. He saved me hundreds and has an optimistic outlook on every idea. Long story short, those guys are shmucks and Im glad I went somewhere else to have my $15k drone built. Morons. Bad business owner and pretty big loss on their part.

I have been into all types of rc for over 20 years and i have never found a hobby store that can help you with it all. Thay can help with any problem with any type of rc equipment you my have, and if thay dont have the answer thay will find it for you. With the help of the guys at rc hover i have gone from a beginner to a relitivly knowlagable person in rc helis planes and cars, both nitro and electric. Thay always sell me the right part and sometimes i dont know the part i need snd thay sit down and help me till we find what i need. I have been going here for 3 years now and the only times i have been disappointed in a perches is when i went aganst there suggestion. Thay are truly passionate about ALL things rc. Rc hover is just a good all american hobby shop.

I was at the hobby shop interested in learning about drones and I was shocked with the way a older gentleman employee / possible manager handled a little boy returning a unopened item to the store. He said to the boy quote " Are you sure you wanna return that because Im going to take 30 percent of what you paid because we need to restock that item. The boy said how much is 30 percent? Older guy " well if it was 10.oo I take 3.00 ...do you wanna return it or not? Boy said Im not sure but I guess its the wrong part.So I wasnt happy he had the wrong unopened part and the store stole 30 percent of the boys money.Maybe if a parent was there it would of been different....That is not customer service ! I will go to the fle market for my drone service is more fair..

Experience started off fine, nice store, knowledgeable staff, Jeff is very friendly. I purchased a fpv drone, brought it home, missing battery, called and provided my mailing address (I live an hour away) I was told theyd send me one. Fortunately I bought 2 spare batteries ($4 more each than what I found them online for later). Drone wouldnt leave the ground, looked more closely and props were not oriented correctly, fixed this and then looked for my spare propset, this was missing as well. Clearly an open box buy. After waiting 3 days for the battery to arrive I went back there in person (1 hour away) and he did exchange it for another drone after we made sure the replacement had ALL pieces. Not saying I wont be back but wont be any time soon.

This place price gouged me on my very first purchase and I have been on the defense every time I go in there. The owner is a total money grub and I wont go in there unless I absolutely need it today. Im writing this review today because my cousin went in there and bought a voltage checker, he was charged $15.99. These voltage checkers are $1.66 online. Not only is he price gouging, I can see under the sticker he put on that the full retail price of $11.99 is under his $15.99 sticker!! I was furious, I told my cousin to not step in hobby quarters again unless Im with him, it was not the first time they price gouged him. I belong to local flying clubs and race RC cars, I warn everyone about this shop and tell them not to shop there.

I recently purchased a RC electric car on line and when it arrived my son advised me it wasnt working correctly. After emailing the eBay seller he advised me to have the battery checked out.I found this hobby shop and called they advised me to bring it in.I sent my son in 13 years old while I did some shopping .He came out and informed me It would be a fee to diagnose the problem $60.00 I couldnt afford that .They also said if it was a battery it would be another 60.00 so $120.00 all toghether.I looked on line for another hobby shop I found a nice RC hobby shop in plainvill mass with a track.Me and my son made a trip there and they replaced the battery for free and only charged us $30.00 for a new battery.
