Went here to pick out a dress, without an appointment. the women helped me try on the dress. However she had me try on a dress probably one or two sizes too small, so I could get the feel of the dress. The clerk then told me that based on my measurements (she looked at the width that the dress did not zipper in the back and determined the size of the dress) I am going to be a size 16 dress. I told her I really did not think I was a size 16 because all my dresses were 10s and 12s. The clerk stated that bridesmaid dresses were different and based on the measurements, I should be a 16. I left extremely uneasy because I knew a size 16 would fall off of my small bust size, etc! When myself and the other bridesmaids picked up our dresses, they were all too big. The clerk just stated that the sizes were based on the measurements. Every person has to get the dresses taken in (and no one has really lost wieght for the wedding yet, so this is not effecting the dress size). I am unhappy with this place because I could have saved myself money with a smaller dress and less alterations.

Went here and fell in love with a dress off the sample/sale rack. They were unwilling to work with me at all on the price, even though the dress had a small stain on it and some of the lace at the bottom needed to be repaired. It may have needed the repair work, because the consultant kept on stepping on the train! She also tried to pressure me into buying the dress insisting that I would never find it online or anywhere else. She was right. The dress was part of a designers 2005 collection. That means that they had had the dress in the shop as a sample for five years! Five years and they were unable to work with me at all on the price. Dont bother going here unless to have at least $3000 to spend (not including alterations) and dont mind someone stepping on the dress as you are wearing it. I still get annoyed just thinking about how much they tried to make me pay over 2500 for an essentially used dress in poor condition.

My mother and I recently visited country weddings to find bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride dresses for my wedding. We were warmly greeted by the staff and immediately given a personal consultant, despite the fact that we had no appointment. The consultant was very patient, curtious, and eager to help us find exactly what we wanted (even though we werent sure exactly what we were looking for!). The selection was impressive, especially for mother-of-the-bride gowns. I would highly suggest visiting this store for a relaxed and comfortable shopping experience.

LOVE this place! This store is truly amazing. I shopped around a lot of other South Shore bridal stores and couldnt find anything that was even remotely "the one". Country Weddings is truly superior to any of the other stores I visited. Their store is clean and inviting, their sales personnel are outstanding and will go the extra mile for you, and their dress selection is outstanding. I also ended up ordering my bridesmaids dresses from this store and I couldnt be happier with my whole experience.

Do not go to the addresses in Hingham or Cohasset, there are no stores there. The store in Cohasset is empty. Its to bad they dont clarify that and remove the address listings..
