I have gone to this store a handful of times the last few years and I was shocked to see bad reviews of it to be honest. I thought it deserved a good review, so here I am writing one! This store is really cute, Im not an avid beader or I would of been here way more than a handful of times! It has a great selection of beads, all the supplies one needs to make jewelry and yes, it does have pre-made jewelry for sale. I actually love that they have a selection of pre-made jewelry. The girls that work in the store make them all by hand. You can find some truly gorgeous, one-of-a-kind items there. And when Im feeling crafty but I dont have any idea on what to make, I browse the pre-made jewelry and use it as inspiration. Ive brought my mother, aunt and little cousins here and all have had a wonderful experience. The employees are very helpful. They are knowledgeable and will take time out to sit and help you assemble your jewelry if you need the help. I wear my Beadles jewelry more than any of my real jewelry...why?? Because I literally get a compliment every single time I wear items I have bought or made there. I hope my review helps, its definitely a place you should stop and check out!

I stopped into Beadles in Chelmsford to pick up some pink "size 6 seed beads for knitting". The woman who was working at the time had no idea what I was talking about, and tried to sell me something pearl-sized, with a tiny hole -- CLEARLY for making jewelry. When I tried to explain why that would not work for my purposes, and provide a few more details that might help her help me, she cut me off, shrugged her shoulders, and told me that I should just sew them on after Im done knitting. Thank goodness I found Lush Beads in Lowell! Theyve clearly worked with knitters before, and had an amazing selection of seed beads in all the sizes and colors I could imagine needing.

I dont believe the store is owned by the original owner who opened it. I had gone in the store after a year sabatical and realized it had completely changed... for the worse. All the space for hanging beads and beading supplies had been replaced by jewelry for sale. And the only beads I saw were the cheap ones made in China - no stones, czech glass, seed/myoki, etc. I have not entered it since as I can still see driving by the store that it is all jewelry being sold not beads. But in all fairness I have not physically entererd in over a year.

We had our daughters 11th Birthday Party and ALL the girls loved it. They all went home with Bracelets and Necklaces which they had made... The variety of beads and stones in the store totally blew me away!
