I might be biased considering I have lived here, but Inman Square is my favorite neighborhood in Boston. Home to incredible restaurants like Tupelo, Ole, Olecito, S&S, All Star, East Side Bar and Grill, Ginger Exchange, and Christinas ice cream etc - it is like the culinary dream team. Over here we dont have Starbucks we have 1369. Great little shops have started to spring up, and it is a short walk from Kendall and Central, and a 5 min ride on the 69 to Harvard. Who wouldnt want to live on this side of the river.

This is an awesome little family-run hardware store where they always have what you need and are willing to help you find it and make various recommendations. They also do the best job of copying keys of any place in the Boston area. The only problem is that the hours make it impossible for anyone who works normal hours to get there any day but Saturday, and if youre busy Saturday...

This place is packed to the gills with good stuff. You may doubt the hardware store around the corner has what you want, but you should ask. Theyll have things you wouldnt imagine the neighborhood store would, and the people running it are friendly and very knowledgeable.

Every neighborhood should have a little hardware store like this. It is full to the gills with inventory, but that just means theyre more likely to have what you need. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful at finding whatever item you ask about.
