I seem to be astonished anew every time I visit home depot by how awful they have become. It was impossible to get help in hardware and whilst I waited an annoying CCTV display helpfully pinged continually to let me know that Im probably a thief and they will catch me if I try anything funny. Despite 3 tries by an associate to call someone to the department, nobody showed up. The fellow in shades directed me to the wrong type. I called 4 times to check if they have the correct ones -- without even succeeding in getting through. Twice the call was dropped at some point in the chain. Twice, some thoroughly unpleasant individual answered and "transferred" me to a line which rang through and then hung up. How are these guys even in business. Anyway, I ended up ordering everything I needed form Amazon. Quite sad, really. Oh -- I forgot to mention the horrible music blaring from their speakers in-store, making it impossible to even concentrate on a simple shopping list. I think the CIA should consider sending prisoners to Home Depot as a form of enhanced interrogation.

Literally the worst Home Depot ever. Will not under any circumstance be going back here. Bought our tub and shower doors from here. They arrived three days late, and when we went into the store to check on them they said that only the tub had arrived and the shower doors are not there yet. We had them deliver the tub for $90 because we need to get started on our renovation project. Then we went back a week later after getting a call saying that the shower doors actually had been there the whole time, they just hadnt been checked in when we went to get the tub. Because we did not want to pay another $90 to have it delivered (they would not waive this fee), we needed to bring the doors home on our own. We waited about 30 minutes for somebody to come help us load them into our car, and when he finally met us at the front of the store, he pointed to his fellow coworker and said "why cant you help them instead of me?" Truly awful customer service and wouldnt recommend this store to anyone.

Left my car at their parking lot today, went to other stores than in less than 3 hours came back and my car was towed, I went with my 2 years old son in my arms I didnt even take the stroller, If I was planning on leaving my car there for the whole day and abuse the parking lot stay thats is ok, but no, just got my little one went to Mikes Pastry than came back, left my car in the back because there was shade under a tree,it was so hot today, my car was towed to a place called ATS Towing that made me go to a ATM with a toddler in my arms and charged me $192.00 for less than 3 hours park they said that they would not take cards, than I had to call a TAXI and take my 2 year old with me without car seat to go get the car, when I got there the guy took a pic of my drivers license and did not give me a receipt, asked for my email and said they were going to send it there. Shame on you Home Depot, I am a very loyal customer and my husband I guess I will be going to LOWES FROM NOW ON.

Extremely low quality stock. I just spent $200 on select 1x8 baseboards and foolishly assumed they would have consistent width and started installing them. Nope, one board is 7" wide, the next 7 3/8, the next 7 1/16, the next 7 1/8. Of course I cant return the boards I cut and I cant use 80% of what I bought and they close too soon to make another trip. And this was AFTER I took great care to pick through dozens of damaged boards and "select" boards with knots before finding enough clean ones. $200 and a Sunday down the drain. The same is true of their 2 1/4 oak flooring -- do NOT install a single board before you measure the width at BOTH ends because some are 2 1/8 or 2" wide instead of 2 1/4, and many of them taper from one end to the other. Also, dont trust their website. It always claims items are in stock when they are not, once claiming there were 90 boxes of flooring when their were 0.

Mr. Manager. you are running a circus at the Somerville store, I heard the store was number one at one point, yes it is, one start, may be they workers think that number one is the best, but cant go any lower, unless you are a female, no one direct the service to you, when asked question the answered is, go to island 6, or 9 what ever, the group conversation is to important, if I ran the store, I would make it #1, and most likely increase sales 25 to 30%, but first need to get to replace some people or train them better, i observed a cashier male, 400+ lb, just talking the entire time, i asked for help to a person, that his English was worst than my own, and can Hartley move, found everyone on groups of 3 or 4, the only ones working were the people that run the machine to stock items, forklift. a total desecrate, like to use local vendors better. good by Home Depot.

If I could give this location 0 stars, I would. My fiancé and I ordered a washer and dryer to be delivered when we moved into our house. The delivery guys delivered the dryer just fine...then they dropped, and promptly broke, the washer. A little over a week later, we get a call that the washer will be delivered the following day and give us a delivery window ending just before 5:00. My fiancé takes the day off work to be there for the delivery....and they dont show up until 10:00 PM. Now the installer cant be there for almost another week and Im leaving for a month and I have no laundry. I called and a representative literally laughed in my face when I asked about any alternate installation options. So, yeah, avoid this Home Depot like the plague. And maybe just never order any appliances from there at all.

My car was a hit and run victim in their parking lot about an hour ago. 10/08/16 6:30pm. There was nobody around when I parked by design that was done but when I came out both doors on the passengers side of the car were dented and a big gaping scratch with white paint on it left behind. I notice the lot had signs noting its monitored by security cameras. Besides that these things happen I know that but I felt a sense of reluctancy on behalf of the staff and the manager that failed to put his name on the statement I made saying it would be fine to leave that off to help me out with this issue. Will repost here after this is resolved I was told to be expecting a call but that theyll probably do nothing about it. I really hope not because Ive been shopping here my whole life and dont want this to end that.

Worse place ever if you need a key remade! Stood in line 20 minutes why the guy running the machine was talking with another employee and restocking taking so long in between customers. Finally I get my turn and hand him my key and hear yeah were out of this one, mind you its a schlage one of the more popular house keys and a display of Schlage locks is hanging behind him. I cant help but feel if your out of a main key that you let everyone wasting their time in line know this so I could go elsewhere . I will now go out of my way to go to any Lowes rather than go to Somerville home depot again. Most poorly run store I have ever gone to.
