So I brought my juicer here to get repaired. The guy said he would look at it, see what he could do and get back to me. 3 weeks go by and I here nothing. I try to call them and get no response. Then a week later I get a call from him, the first call I have ever gotten from him, and the guy says he cant fix it so he is throwing it out. I called back and it was too late. Literally, he just threw it out after holding onto it for 4 weeks. So basically dont bring anything to get repaired here unless you want the guy to throw it out. its soo absurd when I read this review I find it hard to believe myself but TRUST ME this happened and now I have to go buy a new juicer. Most unprofessional place I have ever been to, Im still shocked.

Called in asking if they have a part in stock. Took around five minutes to get the guy on the phone to understand what it was I wanted, with him checking for the wrong part twice. Finally he figures out what I need, and immediately says they have it, and to come in and pick it up. So I went in and looked around, and finally wound up asking someone, who went to look with me, and quickly told me that no, they dont have that part. It was a wasted trip because the guy on the phone couldnt be bothered to check the shelves when he found out what I actually needed. To top it off, the store was a mess. Inventory all over the place. It was difficult to squeeze past displays and boxes to get from section to section.

Very friendly and helpful! Was recently in looking for lightbulbs, but needed them on a dinner switch. The employee saw my confusion and without my needing to ask he came right over so see what I was looking for, knew exactly which one I needed, and it works great. Have also used their key service and its quick and easy, they even cut my different keys onto different metals without my needing to ask so I would know which was for the front door vs apartment. Perfect little neighborhood hardware shop that has way more supplies than you would expect!

What a terrific store and staff! I needed a few pieces of wood cut for shelves, and when I brought them by the store, the father and son team cut the pieces to my specifications while I watched. They were friendly, funny, and finished the job in no time. I will definitely head back to this store again the next time I have a project - they are much friendlier than Home Depot, and have the convenience of being right in the neighborhood. Anyone who lives in Beacon Hill should consider Charles St Supply any time he/she needs to use/rent tools.

This place has pretty much everything youd expect a hardware store to sell, and more. Its worth a stroll through the aisles, whether you think you need something or not. The staff is very friendly, and its so nice (that is, charming and pleasant) to go to a small local place as opposed to the giant chain hardware stores. They have an excellent return policy should something need to be exchanged or returned. And, if you ride a bike, and have a Bicycle Benefits sticker, you get 10% off your purchase.

This place is convenient, courteous, and has almost everything you need for regular building maintenance supplies at a fair price! When I recently went in to look at replacement faucets, the staff was extremely helpful and thorough in making sure I went home with the correct part! I would for sure rather support a local business dedicated to providing quality service than a big box store like Home Depot!!!

theyre the only hardware shop near the beacon hill area. thankfully they do have most household supplies you might need, but the prices are a bit high and the service is very hit-or-miss. sometimes theyve been very helpful with advice. other times i just get pointed towards the correct aisle and then ignored.

Everything you want from your local hardware store. Friendly guys willing to help out and get you what you need. They know more about what we need than we do, and thank goodness! We know we can trust them to help us out with whatever it is!

Pretty convenient but expensive. Also not open on Thursdays before 8am contrary to the sign. Had waited 30 minutes this morning to finally show up only to tell me I cant get paint till later in the day. Will go elsewhere instead

The friendliest and funniest staff! But severely overpriced! They get 5 stars because of their character, and the store cat that walks around.
