Food Lion claims to have good prices. However, ever since Weis has come into town they have just continued to raise their prices on every item in the store. Food Lion was out Grocery Store of choice, a couple years ago. Sadly, they have put the pinch on the families of Thurmont by increasing prices hoping to increase profits. Yes, profits are important; yet, they loose our business becuase of their HUGE price increases. Last, the service in the store is extremely lacking. People are rarely friendly, nice or courteous. Please dont shop here.

The last year that we have shopped in this store I notice more and more cashiers texting while working I shopped here a week ago and to tell you the truth there was only 2 registers opened and all 3 employees where on there phones. REALLY!!!!! I went to the self check out line and I seen the 1 giving me a dirty look. I work in customer service and I would get fired if I had my phone with me while on the clock. Maybe management needs to do something about this

While the store is smaller than others and carries less fresh produce, for example, than I would like, the prices are reasonable at worst, and at best, phenomenal! Check out the meat cases for "Managers Specials," meats marked down for quick sale, often less than half price. Weve stockpiled our freezer with great cuts of beef and pork that we normally couldnt afford to buy.

Store Manager was very helpful! I see this gentleman in the community and donating to local organizations all the time. I love this store as its the cleanest in the area! Staff is extremely helpfull. People need to understand that fuel perks = higher everyday low prices! Shop your local Food Lion in Thurmont and you will be just as happy as me

Prices are good but some front store employees always seem to be in a horrible mood. One of the managers there is awful and horribly rude to people. She is very degrading, short with people and snappy. Produce isnt always fresh and sometimes looks like its been sitting out for weeks.

Rude people work there. I ordered cheese from deli and she was very rude . I told her to just forget it. Cashier was the same way

Staff is helpful but they never ever have Fried Chicken if you go in there after 5:30 PM. It is very irritating.
