I am a first time car buyer, one who has spent the last 8 years driving a 1999 Plymouth Voyager minivan which I was given by my parents when I turned 16. Two weeks ago, that minivan finally met its end and it became time for me to grow up and buy my first vehicle. Naturally, since this was my first foray into this process, I had absolutely no idea where to start. Do I go to a dealership? Used car lot? Look in the classifieds? Internet? Craigslist? After growing up hearing the classic, unflattering stories about car salesmen, I was understandably nervous about going to a dealership; and being an absolute novice when it comes to anything automotive, I was hesitant about going out on my own to a private seller and choosing a vehicle in good working order at a fair price. Well, after a few of the people I worked with mentioned contacting Paul Tibolla at the Darcars of Marlow Heights, I picked up the phone and called the dealership. Paul was as friendly and helpful as could be, I told him how much I wanted my monthly payment to be and the kind of car I was looking for and he immediately went to work. Within an hour he had called me back with a prospective truck which had everything I had told him I wanted. Not wanting to settle on the first option that came my way, I told him to keep looking, and again, Paul delivered very quickly a few more options. Each time we talked he provided answers to every one of my questions and never once tried to push me into a vehicle. Eventually we came upon a 2010 Dodge Dakota with 13,000 miles and everything else I had asked him for. He not only told me what he could sell it to me for, but what I could expect to pay per month depending on different financing options. I did my own research on what similar trucks were selling for and found the price at Darcars to be more than fair. I told Mr. Tibolla that I was very interested in the Dodge Dakota and wanted to try and get down to take it for a test drive, but that since I didn’t currently have a vehicle I would have to try and find someone to try and give me a ride down there. Mr. Tibolla went completely out of his way and offered to drive the truck to me to test drive. I met him at my work and talked with him about all of the features, and took it for a quick test drive. I was very impressed with the truck and told him that it was definitely the truck for me. He told me he would hold it for me until I got a chance to get down there and pick it up. I called Mr. Tibolla later that day and told him what day I was planning to come down, and he told me he would have one of his salespeople call me to set up the time. Very quickly Patricia Lee called me and we set up a time that I would be at the dealership, she gave me her cell phone number and told me that if I had any questions to not hesitate to give her a call and she would be glad to answer them. After I arrived, Ms. Lee was absolutely wonderful to work with, she was right there when I arrived, and she helped me through all of the paperwork. She was with me every step of the process. After all of the formalities were finished, which took far less time than I expected, thanks to Ms. Lee, she even took me out to my car and explained to me everything I needed to know about it. The truck was absolutely spotless, with even a full tank of gas. She went above and beyond anything I had expected. I absolutely love my new truck, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Mr. Tibolla and Ms. Lee. I cannot imagine working with anyone who provides greater service than these two. I felt so comfortable the whole time and truly felt that they were more interested in finding me the car I wanted than making the sale. It is because of these two that I will recommend them and Darcars of Marlow Heights to anyone looking buy a new car. When it becomes time for me to again buy a car, I will definitely look forward to again working with Mr. Tibolla and Ms. Lee. Thank you!

Okay where shall I start. My very first time getting my dodge charger serviced and I am completely not happy. I took my car there last Wednesday, which was December 9, 2015 due to a check engine light coming on. I was told the advisor assigned to me would be in contact with me to inform me of what was going on. Never heard from him. I called repeatedly and was either no answer, or put on hold to find advisor, which never came to the phone. I finally, got through @ 5:30 pm and spoke with someone else concerning my vehicle, which had been there since 9:30 am. My car had to remain there the next day for further testing, I understood. Now this is my only mode of transportation, by the way. So I again call repeatedly to find out about my vehicle and same thing. No advisor or put on hold. Finally I get a call from my advisor @3:30 informing me of the work to be done. He told me the parts had to be ordered tomorrow which was Friday, because it was after 2:30. So I understood. and had to make arrangements to go to and fro while vehicle is being repaired. I still expected to hear from my advisor of the progress of my vehicle and never received one call. I called repeatedly and nothing. Every time I called they kept asking was my car being serviced. So now Im confused. Finally after 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 15, my advisor calls an tells me my car would be ready Wednesday, December 16 and he would call me when its ready. So I wait and not one call comes on Wednesday. So now I am highly irritated and frustrated at this point. I have been greatly inconvenienced and left without transportation. So I call repeatedly on Thursday, December 17, 2015 and again the same thing. Kept being put on hold, no answer in service department , and no advisor. After 7:00pm I receiver a call from my advisor telling me that there is an issue the engineering team is looking into and he will give me a call on Friday, December 18, 2015. Need I say I have heard nothing. So now it has been a week and 3 days without transportation, no further information from my advisor, and I am highly upset . Today is Saturday, December 19, 2015 and I am going up there. Someone is going to explain to me what is the problem and give me some form of transportation for this great convenience. I have never in my life been treated this way from any place my car has been serviced. All I remember hearing as I sat on hold is hearing about customer satisfaction. While I am not satisfied and someone better do something about this situation. You will be hearing from me further.

I really tried holding off on writing this review to allow time for this situation to rectify itself, unfortunately 2 weeks and several penalties later, things havent changed or been corrected. Nor does it seem that anyone at this location even cares to assist with this problem. Heres what happened: On June 1, 2016; I traded in a 2015 Jeep Renegade for a 2016 Jeep Renegade. Initially, the process was seamless. I actually had no problem with the trade, my rate was great, etc. Fast forward a week or so later, when I began receiving non-stop collection calls from my old finance company, telling me that they havent received a payment from me. Ummmm, at this point Im completely lost and argue that there mustve been some kind of mistake because the car was traded in well before the payment due date of June 7. After talking to a manager I was told not to worry, the check takes about 10 days to clear and be paid out to the new finance company. OK, cool no big deal I figured. Fast forward to Friday June 17, 2016... I am STILL receiving calls telling me that my loan has not been paid. 16 FREAKING DAYS LATER!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS DARCARS?!?!?!? So, I contact the store AGAIN and Im told that the loan was funded June 8, 2016....even still thats 9 days ago. At this point the old finance company has added late fees to my amount owed (which shouldve been paid already but thanks to the HORRIBLE people at Darcars, has NOT been...). So I am absolutely DISGUSTED that due to the janky/shady operations over there at Darcars, I am having to pay for a car that I do not even own anymore as well as my new car. Today, June 20, 2016 I was told that the check from the new finance company has not posted to their account yet, therefore they are unable to pay off my old car. There was no apology offered, no solution given, nor did they have a timeframe in which this would be fixed. I have purchased my last 3 cars from this location and have been a loyal customer with this company for about 4-5 years (since I first started driving). Darcars seems to be getting much more crooked and shady and honestly its only a matter of time before this ship sinks. I WILL NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH ANY DARCARS LOCATED ANYWHERE EVER AGAIN. THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY OTHER DEALERSHIPS/ COMPANIES THAT KNOW HOW TO TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I dont have time to play with them nor do I enjoy spending unnecessary money. If youre in a market for a new vehicle, I strongly urge you to shop around elsewhere. Darcars just isnt the same....
