I purchased my 1st Subaru (Impreza) from Sharrett in 2008 and had over $8K worth of service and repairs performed and over 160,000 miles on that car over the next 9 years; minus routine oil changes and tire rotations (which we did ourselves), Sharrett did it all. So when I started thinking about a new Subaru, I did my homework and started with email inquiries to three dealerships in my area. I followed up on Sharretts response, first, because they (Gladys Cudjoe) not only responded to me first, but I had a solid history of good experience with them. I went in to look at a 2017 Crosstrek, and dealt with Brooke Geisinger. She was very friendly, helpful, informative, and pleasant to work with. My intent was to look and test drive, as I had no experience with a Crosstrek, but was looking for a little more interior space and ground clearance without a whole lot more car; purchasing was something I was prepared for, but in no hurry to do. After my test drive, Brooke never assumed anything, asked what Id like to, was not pushy, and we moved forward in assessing my 2008 Subaru for trade-in value and putting numbers together for potential purchase of the Crosstrek (which I very much liked). We had some back and forth on the final price, between myself, my husband, Brooke, and the sales manager (Mike Kauffman), but that is always to be expected and in the end I got what I wanted. My trade-in value was fair, and even when there was a misunderstanding on when I needed the roof rack crossbars installed on the Crosstrek (two days out to accommodate a planned trip rather than 2 weeks), Brooke and the Service Manager (Logan True) took care of it, right then and there before I had even finished all of the paperwork (in the midst of a completely packed and busy rush at service department). Dwayne Johnson worked out the financing aspect of the purchase, walked us through the usual mountain of paperwork and options. He was very helpful and informative, pleasant and easy to work with, and had a sense of humor very akin to my husband and I that actually made this part of the process, oddly enough, fun (not that the process should ever be painful, but if youve ever bought a car....yeah). Overall, we had an excellent experience. We really appreciated everyones time and efforts, patience, and good humor. I never relish the experience of looking for another vehicle, but when I know I have a solid base to start with it, it does take a lot of the stress out of it. I certainly look forward to Sharrett taking care of my new 2017 Crosstrek down the road and, hopefully, being able to go back to them with confidence when it comes time for my next vehicle.

I called the dealership and started working with Kat Whitaker. Gave her the stock# of two vehicles I was interested in and asked for competitive quotes (gave them quotes I received from two other dealerships). Prices were competitive and they didnt have a ton of BS fees tacked on after the fact like some other dealerships like to do (only $300 processing fee). I came in and she was very pleasant to work with and not pushy at all. When it came down to price and my trade in thats when they lost stars quickly. Mark tried to undervalue my vehicle (KBB gave me a value of 7.4k he gave me 6k) and would only agree to give me more if I bought the more expensive vehicle. The cheaper vehicle also came with 308 miles on to odometer. On a new vehicle. I told him thats not acceptable and at least give me money off on it. He said thats common and he says im being unreasonable. On a sports car? To car enthusiasts: I was between a FXT and a WRX. The WRX had 300 miles with the boost gauage saying it had a peak boost of 19psi. 19psi before the first oil change? Hell no.

Do NOT go here. I purchased a car in 2012 that they said had a clean carfax and no accidents. Yesterday I went to trade the car in, and the vehicle history report shows a MAJOR accident that the car was in, that sharrett did not disclose to me. With one look over of my car, the sales rep was able to tell me every single place there was new paint, and show me how my bumper was not properly fitted at all because it was a poorly made new bumper. We called Sharrett, and they have refused to resolve this issue. We took a huge hit on the trade-in, because we had no clue that the car was in an accident. Either the sales representatives and mechanics are liars or they are so poorly trained that they cannot recognize signs of an accident and new paint that the other dealership recognized immediately.

This is the 2nd time I have gone to Sharrett Subaru in Hagerstown (insanity....doing the same thing over, expecting different results) I spent ALL day there only to have them tell me they are "no haggle price" LOL Since when is a new car dealer a no haggle dealer????? I was trying to buy a used volvo and trade in my veloster turbo with less than 20,000 miles on it completely loaded except there are no power seats!!!! Thats the only thing my veloster didnt have, they wanted to give me 10,000!!!!!!! What a joke. Back in July of this same year they offered me 14,500 (?????) they told me its only worth 10,000 now because it is "winter" What a Joke. The Manager is GREEDY! I will be going back to KIA that is across the street where just this morning they offered me 14,000 for the same car.

Im on Subaru number 5, three of which I purchased from Sharrett. My son bought a used VW from Sherrett and Ive sent several friends to this dealer. Always professional sales folks that do not pressure you to purchase. Their service department is also first rate, they stand by their work and always give a fair assessment of what needs to be done. They will point out repairs that need immediate attention and let you know when things can wait. Theyve offered loaner vehicles when they need the car for longer service appointments and have a comfortable lounge when the service can be done while you wait. Sharrett takes the stress out of purchasing and servicing your car.

seriously?! subaru grows in leaps and bounds and the companies selling their vehicles are surely not inspected by them. just know that owners do not call their own customer service because they do not want to be disappointed or fire someone. the service dept. is nothing but a bunch of wise assess. smart answers, and attitude. try calling there RIGHT NOW. be no one answer! to be fair winchester subaru is even WORSE if thats possible. no the MD, WV, VA area is just full of meatheads who can pass a pee test to get a job. well at least the rest of the world is waking up to the reality; finally.

My experience with Sharrett Subaru was exceptionally pleasant, especially as a first time car buyer. My salesperson, Kat Whitaker, was incredibly accommodating and professional throughout the whole interaction. I did not feel at all pressured into making any hasty decisions like I would expect to find at most dealerships. I also worked with Kim in the finance department, who was equally as enjoyable to work with. If you are looking for a dealership with knowledgeable, friendly, and relaxed staff, then definitely check out Sharrett! :)
