Today I visited the Giant food store that I tend to frequent about three times a week...however today would be my last time visiting this particular Giant. Due to the holiday the store was a little more busy with longer lines. I only had some ice cream for my Daughter so I was just going to use self checkout however as I walked down I noticed that a cashier was opening up her line so I walked over to her line, however a white Male had walked over and scooted my cart up from the line and looked over and told a white couple to "Come On, Your next in line". The couple then looked at me with a confused look and I told the male whose name was Brian that, I was next. Brian never even acknowledged me and the cashier was then standing there looking confused as well. I then moved my cart and took the ice cream that I was going to purchase for my Daughter out of the cart and walked off for a manager. Brian was an older white male about the age of 60-70yrs and was very IGNORANT! I couldnt find a manager and because of that I walked over to give Brian a piece of my mind...he turned around with the meanest look on his face and said "What is it?" I told him what he did was racist and I wasnt leaving until I spoke to a manager. He told me that she was on a conference call and I said I will wait here until she gets off of the call, he then said I will go get her! He went to get her and she of course didnt have much of anything to say and basically hunched it off as if it wasnt nothing. I told her what he did and how I felt disrespected and she stated " I will have a conversation with him" Sorry about that". I will NEVER patronize the Dorsey Hall Giant ever again, although I live near I will never return. Brian does not need to be employed in a public setting if he cant deal with Black and White equally!! I will not be treated like this ever again, and with that said I will be writting to my local district about this matter. I will not let it GO! Very Angry Customer!!!!!!

I live very close to this store but I only go there when absolutely needed. Most of the employees are so rude & have poor attitudes. Every time I go there, there is something that prevents a smooth trip to the store. While these examples might be small things- they tack on time to what should be a quick trip. 1) ran in store just to get $ & change. cashier had no change to give. Had to wait for manager for almost 10 min. so much for running in & out. 2) tried to use the coupons that Giant sends to me. Cashier said they never work & just counted the coupons & put in that amount...jipped me $7. 3) cookies(by the pound) dont come up on the self check out. Have to wait for manager to come fix- twice months apart. So the problem was never fixed. * Ruth has got to be the most unpleasant part of going to this particular Giant. She has never been polite to me or my children in any of our visits.

The pharmacy, which I had been going to for over 5 years, is terrible. I dont know if it is new management or what, but their customer service has been awful and they are totally disorganized. I could provide a number of concrete examples, but suffice it to say they screwed up on my last order 3 times in a row. First they insisted my doctor never called it in. After two follow-up calls they magically found it, and then apparently called a complete stranger to tell them it was ready for pick-up. (When I asked who they called, because my wife nor I received a call, they said "I dont know-- I think it was the patients mother or something.) Seriously?! Note: I stayed with them for convenience, but am now transferring to Walgreens.

This is specifically for the pharmacy, which has gone downhill over the years with shortened hours, less staff, and very long lines. I had my prescription lost recently and the staff couldnt have been less helpful. It was a very simple problem that turned into a disaster because of utter incompetence. One of the pharmacists in the back even loudly announced what medicine I was using and made a very sarcastic remark. I overheard him also rudely speak to another customer waiting for a prescription. Very poor attitude that certainly doesnt belong in customer service. My advice is to go here for your groceries and go elsewhere to fill your prescriptions. Its worth your time to avoid this customer service nightmare.

To the individual above stating there was racism involved... That sounds more like someone being rude. Not racist. You appear to be the one being racist in this instance. Just because the other individuals were white, you immediately throw the flag on racism? Really? I dont think so. Nice how you went that route right away. And FYI, the specific employee you are referring to, is also a special needs person. Nicely done. As an older black male, I find your attitude offensive and instant call of racism to be very offending. This is an excellent store that I have been going to for years. This is a wonderful place, with very couteous workers. Do not trash talk because you had one bad experience.

Normal grocery store, not a big deal. Down the road from us so fairly convenient. Whenever we used self checkout, though, we needed an associate to come assist us since the system needed an employee to scan their ID card for something. Somehow in the mix, the item rang up twice and neither the associate helping us nor the manager (?) could figure out how to properly be rid of the second ring up. We suggested voiding said item all together and the manager voided the entire transaction instead. Ack! Both employees were really frustrated and rude to us. May have just been a bad day for them, but Ill just drive the extra 5 minutes for Wegmans from now on.

We have been shopping at this location for 8 years and the service gets better and better. We are greeted by name by a couple of the employees and everyone is courteous and friendly. There have been multiple occasions where the employees have gone above and beyond to offer excellent service. We trust this Giant with our catering, pharmacy and general grocery needs. Thank you for making our shopping experiences pleasurable.

Nice but could be a bit better. Prices were high to moderate. Courteous and helpful people. Not a big selection of organic fresh veggies. They have most of the food that I was looking for. It was not a huge store but they have been stocked with everything I want when I visit which is several times a week. I like fresh foods.

All the departments work really hard and it shows in the store. The store is very clean and the shelves are full. They have the best staff at this store. Ive visited the one on Centre Park Drive but it cant compare to this one. Every employee greets you. They all want to help the customer. Best place to go any day.

I have shopped here since it opened and am very pleased. The people are courteous and helpful. They are very willing to help me find items if necessary, as well as to make special orders.
