We have been to DCA twice on the Groupon experience. Each time we received a basic archery lesson, including safety and tips and were left to play (which is exactly what we wanted). In fact, the second time, I went with my 2 daughters and an exchange student we had with us. The owner gave us the same great experience and added in a shooting contest for us - whoever got closest on a certain target got to walk away with a nice switchblade. I have since gone back and bought myself a compound bow for target shooting in my backyard. I feel confident I was set up with a nice kit without too many un-necessaries (there are a couple things Im not sure I needed, but nothing major or expensive). They were happy to give me a price quote and let me dwell on the matter. Included in my purchase were 2 range sessions during which they worked with me. I left confident with my bow, and knowing if I have any issues, I can return for help.

While Id been to Deer Creek in the past, it was always to shoot the 3D range, which is great. I previously always brought my bow to Lancaster Archery Supply for service and thought that was the place to go for quality work. Recently, after having some minor issues with the bow, I brought it to George at Deer Creek. In short, Ill never be going anywhere else to have my bow worked on. The quality of workmanship blew Lancaster Archery Supply out of the water. My Matthews bow shoots better than the day I bought it a couple years ago at Lancaster Archery - I cant get over the difference! George is an absolute expert with exceptional attention to detail and my only regret is not bringing my bow to him sooner or originally buying it from him to begin with.

This place is awesome, my fiancé and I came here on a day that was above 100 degrees and had an awesome time. We never shot a bow in our life but the instructor was very nice an clear in his instruction, the staff was fantastic no high pressure sales of any kind. Archery wasnt difficult to pick up it just requires practice and they give you plenty of time and arrows. The staff was easy going even after our time was up they didnt try to rush us out since they were slow that day they let us practice until our fingers hurt. Awesome experience overall will definitely go back.

My wife had never shot a bow and wanted to get the Groupon available for a free lesson and range time. They were very helpful and coached her (because she wouldnt listen to me lol). Fastforward a year and I stopped by there again (because of the good experience) and was there to have my bow worked on....and walked out with a new Matthews. Their new bow packages include a combination of hand fletched arrows and hours on the range. They are very knowledgeable and are willing to work on anything. Great people, great prices, great place to shoot.

Had a wonderful time! Used a groupon for an hour for two. The instructor was extremely friendly, courteous and knowledgeable offering great advice and tips and adjusting when needed. Gave us ample of practice time after showing us the how tos. Before leaving he gave us some informational books on archery and resources. Will be returning soon!!!

The only bow shop I wish I hadnt spent a dime. Wouldnt set draw weight and length on a bow I purchased for my wife unless I bought ridiculously priced accessories. Horrible customer service. Travel the hour to Lancaster Archery Supply (they setup my wifes bow for free even though I didnt buy it there) or go to Autumn Sky.

George is the only person I will ever let work on/tune my bow. I went to another so called pro shop in Harford county and they just rushed the whole process. He is very knowledgeable and friendly and got my bow shooting right. Thank you so much deer Creek you guys are truly #1 in MD...

Purchased a Groupon for a lesson, equipment, and an hour of shooting. All 4 of us had a blast, and plan to return again. Our instructor, Mike, was awesome! Very clear with instructions, patient with our learning, and laid back attitude. Thanks Mike!!
