SERVICE REVIEW BEWARE- was asked to write a review for them before after having a service back in October had an oil change and tire rotation and then a couple days after that my tire pressure monitoring system stopped working. I took the car back after making an appointment just to get all the monitors replaced I figured my car was now 4 yrs old they probably needed replacing the service Advisor Wayne looked at me and told me he had no time to do my car after I made an appointment I was getting the sensors from them and everything just wanted my car fixed. I usually take my car to the dealership where I bought my Chevy but got lazy cause it is a little ways from my house in Clarksville MD the whole service team and sales team out there is amazing at Winkelly. You can call and actually talk to a technician about your car not a service Advisor who dont know about a car they not ASE certified. So I usually dont do reviews unless I have something nice to say so I didnt do the review in October. I am doing a review now because of my latest encounter with them. My car was taken to them on a Wed morning it would not start and the service Advisor Everett told me it would take him a couple of hours to get it in and get it diagnose and give me a call.Well I ended up calling him around the end of the day and he had nothing for me the car had not been diagnose. Well this Ill give you call as soon as I know something went on everyday and he never called me I ended up calling him around 3:30 in the afternoon for several days because the last courtesy shuttle ran at 4 pm. well he told me for at least three days the car had not been diagnose and he had no clue still what was wrong with my car questioning him he was like we have people cars for weeks. Its going on a week now still no car they say my car needs a battery wow thats something you could have knew first day they got it started now another issue. meanwhile I still dont have a car no good customer service cause I have to call Everett all the time he never thought to call to give me any kind of update and that was the most frustrating thing. He never knew anything either until I called my real dealership WINKELLY and arranged to tow my car to them because I was tired of the B.S. at AUTO NATION. Soon as I went up there to remove my car all of a sudden he wants to call me and tell me he knows whats wrong with my car and can have it fixed today. At this point I just wanted my car off their lot. I let him fix it took it off their lot. Dont buy that extended warranty they call you wanting you to buy to because MR.Everett made sure my stuff wasnt covered by the warranty. Its all a shame. PLEASE BE WARE DONT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE FOR SERVICE. I have heard people talking about just leaving there the day before and they back today with the same problem and their car still wasnt fixed.

Your Review: My service Manager Wayne was excellent! His customer service was outstanding and he made me feel welcomed as listened to me relay the problem with my vehicle with authentic concern. the only reason I did not rate your establishment higher was due to the fact that I paid $300.00 to have the mechanic do research on the issue with my vehicle only to tell me nothing that I already had said before I turned my truck in for inspection. I was told that I was having compression issues with two of my cylinders which I had already outlined when I dropped it off. I was expecting for the money I paid to at bare minimum tell me what was the true underlying issue with my truck and not just relay back to me the same information I imparted initially. I would have spoken to Wayne directly when I came to retrieve my vehicle, but Wayne was assigned off that day, I had asked another service manager that was there that day if this is all the mechanic came up with. I was told to talk to Wayne as he was the one that checked my car in since they were not the one I had initially dealt with. Granted I have not called Wayne back to see if he could provide any further information because in my line of work it is difficult to make personal calls during work hours. I may try sometime this week to see if I can glean any information of substance that will convince me that if I do have your dealership repair the issue, it will not cost more than the quote that was told to me. Although I am not sure how that number was quoted when the mechanic did not know or relay what the problem actually is. I just did not feel secure with that determination enough to allow work to begin on repairing my vehicle for fear it would cost me more than what was said once work was started and other "problems" would be discovered effectively revising the initial quote. As I stated Wayne was great! He did what he was supposed to do with regards to addressing my issue and treating me with respect and dignity. I just did not leave your establishment any closer to rectifying my problem, and was $300 short to boot which concerned me when considering repairs. Thank you.

I dropped my 2012 Chevy Malibu off to the service department at AutoNation Chevrolet on Security Blvd. The air condition unit was not working properly and the lock switch on the drivers door was malfunctioning. I spoke to the service adviser who said he would call me on Monday regarding the repairs. On Monday at 1:30 pm my car had not been diagnosed, and the adviser could not give me a clear reason. I spoke to the Service Manager and his explanation did not sufficiently explain why my car had not been repaired. I told the Service Manager not to repair my car and I would pick it up. At 2:30 pm when I arrived to get my car I was told that the Service Manager to the adviser I authorized the repair on my car. Now all the repairs were being paid through the extended warranty company. The adviser told me I could not pick my car up until the warranty company paid them. (Even though they had not yet replaced my air condition unit). Long story short. they keep the car an additional day and I get a rental. the next day the service adviser calls and informs me that my car had been broken into and someone stole the in-dash Pioneer DVD/Nav flip radio. I had money in the center console that was not touched. The service department had not called the police until I demanded they do so. After they were paid by the warranty compny they released my car. I was thinking about just trading the car in because of the personal violation and theft. I was talking to a saleswoman about trading the car in. I started the car and the saleswoman said that dont sound good. Thats when I discovered they gave me back my car with a defective air compressor unit that made enough noise to alert even the mechanically challenged that something was wrong. Five days later and my car is still not repaired and in worst shape then when I took it their. I have an appointment for them to repair the unit they were suppose to fix. AutoNation dropped the ball and are still fumbling. They lost a great customer!
