Wow. I am very disappointed with Paul Broccolinas review and feel bad that he felt the need to express his disgust on a public forum instead of settling the matter in a mature way with the ladies at The Gateway Florist. I have been doing business with The Gateway Florist for over 2 years, they even did my wedding** (see below), and I have gotten nothing but amazing service with amazing product. Sir, I apologize for I do not know you, but I am astonished at your selfish and acquisitive temperament. To threaten someone is unacceptable. Period. You are wrong, sir. Again, I apologize for the harsh undertones, though I feel as a continuously satisfied customer, I owe it to the Gateway to state my opinion. Do good. Do right. Be happy, -Goosefoot **The day of my wedding (June), I found out half of the flowers were dead because the fridge I had put them in was too cold (my fault). I called Cindy to see if maybe she could help. Luckily, she was able to spare some time and not only came to help last minute, she brought another designer with her to help! Simply amazing.

I was actually just hung up on by who I can only hope is the owner of Gateway Florist. She called to confirm the address because she could not deliver without a room or suite number. I explained that the recipient was located on the 1st floor of the building and reception would be able to contact the recipient. She was immediately flippant with me and said that I had not included the first floor detail. I explained that the full address was submitted but must not have transmitted (I placed my order on-line) and that I did not understand her current tone. She then went off and hung up on me. I am not even sure where my order stands at this point. I have NEVER had trouble ordering flowers until this experience and I have never received such absolutely poor customer service. I will not be turning to this establishment again. With so many competent florists in the area -- I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere.

I recently called The Gateway Florist and explained to the lady that my son had just had his tonsils out and we were looking to have something different put together. She had such wonderful ideas!!! She even went to a restaurant next door and put a cup of soup in with the goodies she put together. I had called another florist in Annapolis and talked to a very rude gentleman whom could not help me! He told me they only did flowers and nothing else. He did help me however when I asked him if he could recommend another florist that might be able to accomodate my request. So, that being said I highly recommend this florist and I will tell all of my clients about them! Customer service is everything! I was very pleased with Gateway!

I am so happy that I choose Gateway flowers for my friends birthday!!! I had a hard time choosing from all the displays on their website! I looked up florists in Annapolis and picked them and I really couldnt be happier. The personal attention from Mark and Cindy was incredible, I placed the order after normal business hours for delivery the next day, they contacted me by email, sent me pictures and delivered the most incredible flowers! When ordering from out of town you run the risk of not getting exactly what you wanted and less for the price! Not with Gateway, I received more and at a fair price. I only wish they had a flower shop near me!!! Thank you again, Kathleen

After meeting several florists in the Annapolis/Crofton area, I chose Gateway Florist to be my wedding florist. The staff at Gateway is extremely pleasant, honest and helpful. In particular, Donna, the wedding florist designer; was my instant friend. She was such a pleasure to work with and was available to offer advice and make any changes that I needed through out the wedding planning process. She made my color palette and floral design ideas come to life. I could not get over how gorgeous my flowers were on the day of our wedding (September 24, 2011). I highly recommend Gateway, they are talented designers, very personable, reliable and reasonably priced.

I ordered an arrangement for my daughter and son-in-laws 25th wedding anniversary..... Since we were ordering from out of state.....we were a little apprehensive about the quality of the flowers etc. Just let me say that it was beautiful! Exactly what I had hoped it would be. My daughter was thrilled with quality of the plants and flowers that were delivered to their door. So thank you Gateway Florists.....Job well done. And just one more thing.....the girl that took my order spent 15 minutes with me on the phone explaining the plants and flowers that they would be using. Very professional.....

I have mixed feelings. While the funeral arrangement was very pretty, I paid $145 with delivery and for the money, the arrangement was not what I expected. I figured for $125 I would get something over the top!! It was normal arrangement size and I even upgraded to $125! The young lady I spoke to (Kat) who encouraged my expectations at the $125 level made me believe that I would get a GORGEOUS and LARGE arrangement at that price. Quite the contrary. Maybe Im living in the dark ages but I feel for $125 I should get amazing. especially for a VASE ARRANGEMENT!!! Thank you.

We were very pleased with the basket prepared for my nephew while he was sick. This florist put together a very specific basket using the colors/toys I requested. We ordered this basket for my nephew, who had just spent the night in the hospital, to help cheer him up. He was very excited about all the goodies that they put in the basket. If you are looking for a florist that will create a thoughtful gift specifically for your loved one, you have found the one! They were very friendly and accommodating.

We lost our special needs child unexpectedly. We went to Gateway Florist at the last minute. All we brought was a picture of her. The florist went to went to work right away. A beautiful flower arrangement was created that matched her dress in the picture. On the alter was that picture, the flowers with a single rose. Gateway Florist is a wonderful place. They understood our needs perfectly by listening and not telling us what we needed. Everything turned out perfect. Thanks Gateway Florist

This is the best florist Ive ever used! I wanted very special flowers for my parents 40th wedding anniversary, and when they were delivered my mother said they were the most gorgeous flowers shes ever received in her life. In addition, they delivered on Saturday, staying open 2 extra hours trying to confirm someone was home before delivering in 100 degree weather. Thats some kinda customer service!! Top notch,wonderful people. Cant thank them enough!

Great custom orders. Stopped here for a bouquet two Valentines days in a row now and have yet to be disappointed. They werent able to deliver either time because Im a terrible procrastinator, but both orders were ready for pickup in less than 24 hours (even though they were CLEARLY very busy). The staff was friendly, accommodating, and had some excellent design suggestions, and both bouquets were gorgeous.
