This is a very friendly, local place--generally, if you call or drop in, you will be interacting with one of the owners (although youd never know it, they are both very down to earth). Im forever grateful to them for introducing me to paddleboarding (I got an individual lesson) and selling me my first board (which was used an reasonably priced). Im now a total addict and paddle year-round. Good selection of gear, although a little on the pricey side. I buy some stuff there and some stuff off Amazon. It can be worth it to purchase stuff from them because of convenience, great customer service--they will happily answer all of your questions and make solid recommendations--and because this is a business worth supporting! Check it out.

helped me choose all the gear to start snowboarding, and the boots they sold me felt good sitting down, and just standing up...so i bought them when i went down then mountain and actually used them they wore uncomfortable so i went to exchange them 6 days later the guy said i would have to pay a restocking fee of 20% (NOWHERE DOES IT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT A RESTOCKING FEE) so a pair of boot that are retail 160 but gave me a 10% discount for buying everything...they wore only going to refund $116 of it... they NEED a better RETURN POLICY!!

I dont tend to review places much, but the experience I had at East of Maui today is worthy. I went out looking for a new snowboarding jacket and ended up in another small local shop, they ended up pointing me over to East of Maui. You know you are going somewhere worthwhile when their competition recommends them. The staff was incredibly helpful and down to earth, I felt no pressure at all. And the prices were very reasonable. I do my share of online shopping but this is one local shop I will be using from here on out! Thanks!

Awesome Local Shop with Great Staff! Got a gift card to this store a few months ago when I lived closer to their location. Moved away and was unable to make the drive. After calling and explaining my situation, Mark S was eager to help make things happen! Got a sweet deal on some Burton Gloves and didnt even have to make the drive! Pros: SUPER Friendly and helpful staff with great attitudes! Cons: None
