I live in Portland, Maine. I had to travel 30 miles to the Topsam Home Depot to purchase my snowblower because the Portland store was out of stock. These folks are all on top of their game…every one of them. They are all friendly and helpful. Adam was very helpful throughout my purchase of my snowblower. When we were loading it into my truck bed, Marshal was very perceptive by noticing that one wheel was farther out on the axle then the other wheel. Few would have noticed that. We found another clip, to hold the wheel on and get me going. And Sam in the rental unit was incredibly helpful (and knowledgable) when I had to make an adjustment to the chute after the first day of use. Remembering every detail of how to adjust it, he guided me through the operation perfectly…..over the phone! You too will notice that the Topsam Home Depot is not your average retail experience. I have had three negative customer service experiences over the last 6-12 months. Unfortunately, this location is closer to my house than other options (such as Lowes in Cooks Corner), so I often am stuck coming here on quick trips... Recently, I went with the intention to buy a log splitter and couldnt find anyone to assist me. I went to the customer service desk and they told me that they had to page a specific person (I assume who was best qualified to answer my questions). After 15 minutes without anyone showing up, I went back to the customer service desk and asked for help again. Again, they promised to page someone. No one showed. I left after 30 minutes of waiting. I have found this experience to be common - especially if you are looking to buy a specialty type product. Very frustrating.

I dont hate the place but this visit was ridiculous! The man in the wood department showed myself and a 80 something year old gentleman with me where the 1/4" cdx is. He then walked off as we loaded it! Then preceded to walk by multiple time never asked if we were all set.
