ATTN: JEWELRY DEPT. Back in February of this year, my fiancé went ring shopping. He ended up here after numerous stores and felt no pressure, none of that awkwardness that you can sometimes feel when dealing with a salesperson. He was very happy with the customer service and the ring he purchased (which honestly is a very beautiful ring). He purchased the ring and bought the 2-year service plan for the time being as opposed to the lifetime to save a few bucks and was told BY THE SALESPERSON that he could upgrade his service plan AT ANY TIME. Months down the road, in September, my center stone fell out and we went back to the store to have it sent out to be fixed and to upgrade to the lifetime (we were obviously going to need it). When we got there, it was the salesperson who sold my fiancé the ring. She told us that she NEVER said that he could upgrade to the lifetime. I know him. Hes not a moron and definitely wouldve made it clear that if he purchased the 2-year he could upgrade at any later point. If she really had told him that he never could, he wouldve obviously got the lifetime at point of purchase. Management got involved (per request since she was being extremely rude and wouldnt even make a point to assist us in any way). They agreed that it couldnt be done. So I demanded a refund because I was not going to pay $60 every 2 years for a service plan and how I was absolutely mortified by the poor customer service. They denied that and said they would have someone email me. REALLY?! So the long and short about, a manager, Dawn, was able to help us out by upgrading us to the lifetime a few days later at no charge and sent out my ring. Weeks later, my receipt for service said the ring was estimated to be here October 13th. 2 days ago. I called on the 13th and spoke to a woman who said they were dealing with inventory but it should definitely be there later that day and if not it most certainly the next day. Called the next day and spoke to the original saleswoman. Ring was not there and she said she would call me if she came across the ring and if she didnt she would also call me to tell me it wasnt there yet. Low and behold, she never called. If you cant follow through, then dont over promise. Im beyond point of return when it comes to patience with this store. Its a shame, too, as we were planning to purchase my and my fiancés wedding bands there. Most definitely not going to happen now and absolutely will not be recommending this store for engagement ring shopping. God awful. And I can guarantee that this wont go anywhere and nothing will be done to make things right to ensure satisfaction.

This store has the worst hair salon I have ever been too. The entire experience was tedious and unsatisfactory. The stylist, in the Maine Mall JCPenney, had no idea how to cut hair in the style I had described. I really didnt think it was all that complex of a cut either. I even had multiple photos for an example that I ended up having to show her many times, to still get a terrible result. The cut isnt even of equal length on both sides, and is no where near what I wanted. I didnt even let her touch my bangs, because I had been in the chair for over an hour and a half with little to show for it. I am furious and will never return to this establishment, nor will I recommend it to anybody I know. One recommendation I would have is just being honest from the beginning and tell me that you cant do what I want. Thanks for nothing.

Wanted to have a quick blow out while my husband got his hair cut. Firstly, the girl didnt even wash my scalp, my hair doesnt feel clean. She didnt towel dry my hair, just started with the blow dryer while it was dropping wet. This made it take forever. 40 minutes for shoulder length hair and she didnt really style it...but how could she if she didnt actually take a second to see and feel what my style was like. $22 for a complete waste of my time, I need to go home and wash and style it for tonight...luckily I will be done in less than a half hour. I wont even comment on the poor quality of my husbands haircut. Next time well spend our money elsewhere.

I bought 6 major appliances at J C Penney. The shipping company they hired to deliver and install them have been less than what I expected. Out of 6 appliances, 2 were damaged and were reordered. After they left, I discovered the dishwasher wasnt working due to poor setup. I was told my 2 appliances would be delivered between 9:30-12:30. Its after 12:30 so I called and was told they wont be here until mid afternoon. It would have been courteous for them to let me know so I wouldnt have wasted a whole day. Very poor service. No regard for the customer.

Worst hair cut ever. And with short hair, Ive had some bad cuts. My "stylist" didnt listen at all when I told her how I wanted my hair cut. About halfway through it, I realized shed completely gone off base. I let her finish, in hopes she would somehow bring it all around at the end. Nope. Ive never looked more ridiculous. Thank goodness its winter. Hats for the next 4 months! Oh, AND it was the most expensive cut Ive had. Double whammy. Save your money. If youre under 40, this is NOT the salon for you!!

Good selection for men and women clothing but not for children. Prices are also good but they run out of the items on sale too quickly. If you are going to the Maine Mall when it is busy the best place to park is at JCPenney. Always a spot available.

I went in for a cut and color at this salon not expecting much. The color was perfect, the cut was awesome, and the stylist is a sweet as pie. Ljuba is amazing. Im 28, and she made me look and feel 20 again. Not bad, eh?
