I love this Hannaford. Its the biggest one around and is perfectly set up. I have lived in Windham, Gorham, and Westbrook ( surrounding towns of Portland )and no matter what I go to the Portland store. All the staff are delightful , there is never a huge deli line and if there is all the staff are very efficient and prompt about moving people along. I recommend Hannaford Portland over any other hannaford and I recommend Hannaford in general over any other grocery store.

I was having trouble locating a specific piece of meat and a butcher came around the counter and explained each cut and best ways to cook and found me exactly what I needed and then he asked if there was anything else on my list that I didnt know where something was and he was able to tell me the exact isle number and approximately where in the isle I could find it including which shelf it was on!!

Amazing selection, quality produce, bakery, meats... everything, really. Very clean and organized. Great staff. Prices are a little higher than those at Walmart, but Ive switched permanently anyway for all the reasons above. It can get seriously packed, so for full weekly shopping, I try to avoid mid/late morning on a Sunday, Friday after work, etc.

This is most likely the largest Hannaford you will end up in. They have just about everything a Hannaford can have and is always well stocked. It can be busy when work gets out but they keep a lot of aisle open. Protip: call an hour ahead and have them steam your lobsters, saves a whole lot of work at home.

This Hannaford has 10 times better organization and looks than any other Hannaford Ive been to. The produce section and the other foods are nicely separated, there is new, pleasant cafe, and a nice selection of baked goods, meats, breads and sushi (my favorite!) This is by far my favorite supermarket.

The stir fry grill is great! Some of the cheapest breakfast sandwiches anywhere if you have a few minutes to wait in the morning. I have just been back recently for the new and improved grill area. Its great! The location is handy, but it does get busy at times.

One of the best produce departments of any of the local grocery store. A bit more diverse in selection which is always welcomed. A tad busier on average than most grocery stores, but the parking lot is big enough to handle the traffic.

There is a better selection of vegetables here than at other Hannaford stores, however there is a bag fee forced upon customers by the facists at city hall who have nothing better to do than to control other peoples lives.

I love it! They have everything I can think of wanting for food. Especially a big variety in Sushi. This is mine and my husbands favorite food. They have a beautiful selection of fresh fruits and vegetables as well.

Great look and feel to this location. Organization is better than some other Hannaford supermarkets that Ive been to. They have a great wing bar, a pretty respectable sushi bar, and a fantastic hibachi grill.

Put the right prices out on the shelves so that we dont get a surprise at the register. Too expansive. when you do have a price increase its always in 50 cents at a time why not 20 cents at a time , ect.

Great location. Excellent to stop by and pick up supplies for a picnic at Back Cove Park which is right across the street. The store is clean and organized and has a variety of foods.
