Allspeed is my favorite bike shop in Portland, hands down. Chris, Mike, and the rest of the folks are super knowledgeable, helpful, and I believe that they are doing what they love to, which really shows. Ive been very impressed by the inventory that Allspeed has-- they are carrying some of the top of the line WOMENs mountain bikes (and guys too!), the ones that most of us only dream about! Ive bought two bikes from Allspeed, and have had wonderful experiences with both. They provide a year of free service on all bikes, which Ive taken full advantage of. And, somehow, they are still happy to see me when I walk in. Even after the first year, these guys have treated me right. A month or so ago, I snapped my rear derailleur on a trail at 5:30pm on a Friday. By 11am on Saturday, Allspeed had replaced the part, also fixed a free hub body that was cracked (and covered under warranty), and fixed a broken spoke. Now thats service! Also- these guys are super involved in the bike/ski community. They sponsor WinterKids events, donate goods to raffles for charities, are trail ambassadors (and thus do tons of trail work) for the city of Falmouth, and are very involved in NEMBA. If you need a bike, skis, or anything of the sort, go visit Allspeed; good folks, great products, excellent service.

Allspeed Cyclery and Snow is by far the best bike shop in the greater Portland area! I moved to Portland 3 years ago and was immediately referred to the shop from other local mountain bikers I met along the trails. Unlike several other bike shops I’ve been to, these guys are extremely personable and are willing to help at all times. They are the most bike-savvy group of people I’ve ever talked with and they are clearly passionate about what they do. While I admit that I frequent the shop (purchased multiple components/accessories and recently purchased a new bike), they always remember me. Whether you are looking for component upgrades or a fresh ride, they will guide you through the process and make solid recommendations based on your needs and riding style. The service the folks at Allspeed provide is also top quality. They have quick turnarounds on bike maintenance and their work is detail oriented. I highly recommend hitting up one of their group mountain bike rides. They know the local trail system better than most and lead a consistently awesome ride through these trails each week. Allspeed has an incredible local feel and it’s great to have such an amazing bike shop in Portland!

Im so impressed with this place! I showed up to Allspeed with my husband and two kids on a Saturday only to find they were having a huge bike swap event. I had never been here before and thought Id give them a try since I was not happy with the bike shop I had been going to. The place was so busy I figured there was no way they would have time for us. After a brief chat with the lady at the door, I was assured they were open for business and well organized to help those not part of the bike swap. They checked both bikes out and made recommendations to best fix the problems we were having. Even with parts on order, both bikes were still ready to go in a couple days. But heres what impressed me the most: When I came to pick the bikes up, my young son in-tow, I quickly asked about my bike fit. I was not told it will be another $250 and I needed to make an appointment. Nope. I got to chat with K who took the time to look at me in the saddle, measure and make adjustments. He was professional, knowledgeable, and so patient! I walked out of AllSpeed knowing so much more and totally pumped for my next ride! These folks are amazing and this is my new bike shop!

Nice place. Id spent some good time in the old shop. I was really looking at new rig since Im on a 26" with outdated everything ( fork taper, rear dropout spacing, etc. you get the picture) My wife was in trader Joes, I was bored, why not. I was the only person in there for a good 7 or 8 minutes while I was there. Nothing as far as acknowledgement. This was a red flag. Look, I dont want you to fawn over me , just say hi ( man on computer behind desk , as Im looking at new bars right behind you two feet away from you) even from the service room ( although he seemed engaged with someone in service already) Yknow? Even if youre trying find a Qbp item or are bogged down, take sec. Rant over I guess. Must be my old age. Nice clean shop, decent prices ( good ski stuff too) but I crossed Santa Cruz off my list as they were my local dealer. UPDATE: so I get a call from Chris at Allspeed concerning this review, asking what he can do to make this right. Just the act of calling me means they made things right. That speaks volumes to me. Everyone has an off day. That extra moment to call me and not just shrug it off is what good customer service is. Thank you.

I’ve been doing business with Allspeed C&S since they reopened the shop in 2010, and whether its skiing or biking gear that I am looking for, they always have what I need. Customer satisfaction is the name of the game in retail, and Allspeed delivers before and after I’ve purchased equipment with friendly, knowledgeable service and support. Service scheduling for bikes and ski tunes seems to be a challenge with most shops, but time and time again, Allspeed delivers by being realistic as to when they can schedule my work, and then getting it done on time and done right the first time. Anyone with a busy schedule can appreciate this. In addition to great service and product lines, Allspeed staff like to get out and play, too. Shop MTB rides have been a blast for years now as the Portland area is blessed with a huge trail network, and ski demo days up at the hill are a hoot. So if you’re looking for cycling and skiing gear and the service and support that goes with it, look no further than Allspeed Cyclery and Snow, the Portland area’s mountain biking and backcountry skiing shop.

Allspeed is my go-to place in Portland for telemark/backcountry gear, and when I decided to get a new mountain bike this spring, they became my favorite bike shop, too. Some other area shops had decent gear and good prices, but they couldnt begin to compare to the better value I could get at at Allspeed. For slightly more money, I got a much higher quality frame, with better components, which will hold their own as my technique continues to improve and I take on more technical rides. The salesman, K, took time to ask about my experience, and my riding style. He watched me test ride the bike a bunch of times, making adjustments and suggestions so that I could really see how it would perform for me in different situations. On the service side, they take great care of their customers. When I went back in a couple weeks after the purchase with a valve stem problem, the shop fixed it, plus made some other minor modifications, for free. Im happy to have found such a great shop for both my winter and summer hobbies.

I am a mountain biker. As such, I think about riding bikes a lot. When I am not thinking about riding bikes, I like to think about bikes and things to make my bike an expression of my riding style and personality. The folks at Allspeed are mountain bikers too. Oh sure, theyll ride pretty much anything with two wheels (not sure about a recumbent), but in their hearts I think they are mountain bikers. Thats one of the reasons they take such good care of their customers and their bikes. They like bikes, and Allspeed is really good at keeping bikes on the trail (and road too for those who swing that way). Their in store inventory has grown in the past few years offering a nice range of options for all riding styles, and special orders for items not in stock are welcomed too. Allspeed has been and continues to be a pillar of the mountain bike community in and around Portland, and Im grateful theyre here. Allspeed rules. Check it!
